~Vaudeville Ageing~
Good evening. This is Uemura from WEST.
Today, I'd like to show you the ageing of these boots that I've worn for a year.
The 2 Monkeys VAUDEVILLE【TM83933】
Since I also wear ELASTOS,
I alternate between the two.
The toe has curled up, and the color has deepened considerably.
And the creases are also very sharp.
I was able to wear them both regularly,
without favoring one over the other.
The Vaudeville, made with horse front leather,
is incredibly soft and extremely comfortable to wear.
It conforms to the foot exceptionally well,
and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it yet
to give it a try at least once.
These are cap-toe blucher boots.
With their classic feel, these boots offer a unique "atmosphere"
that you can truly enjoy.
For customers who haven't tried them on yet,
please come to the store to try them on and purchase them.
~USMC M44 Monkey Pants~
【Pre-order item, expected to arrive early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】
Speaking of USMC M44 Monkey Pants,
these pants were issued to the Marine Corps.
They are also popular in the vintage industry
under the nickname 'Monkey Pants'.
The origin of the name is as follows...
Large, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.
These large pockets were designed
to hold a 'poncho',
and the flaps were added
to prevent the contents from falling out.
These pockets are said to resemble a monkey's buttocks,
hence the name "Monkey Pants".
The production period for the M44 was
actually very short, only 'one year and three months',
from July 1944 to around October 1945.
Also, because they were issued to the 'elite few'
of the US Marine Corps,
the overall production volume was low, which is why they command
quite high prices in the vintage market.
The periods during which the US Marine Corps
actually wore them include...
・Battle of Iwo Jima (Feb 19 - Mar 26, 1945)
・Around the Battle of Okinawa (Mar 26 - Sep 7, 1945).
Also, after World War II,
・Korean War (Jun 25, 1950 - Jul 27, 1953)
It seems they were worn extensively during these times.
Jelado's Monkey Pants use
herringbone material.
Furthermore, they are dyed with vat dyes.
And the buttons are donut buttons,
which also creates a vintage look.
By wearing them regularly, you can enjoy the
ageing process.
Native pattern half-length coats, and
leather jackets... and even
coveralls also go very well with them,
I also recommend pairing them with a chambray shirt.
Please make your reservations at the store or online.
Thank you.
