First, let me tell you my story.

 

Many people, whether they like American casual style or not,

wear boots with jeans, but I myself...

To be frank about boots, I'm a beginner.

I've always preferred sneakers over boots.

 

The reason is simple: "My feet hurt."

When I wear boots, "my shins hurt."

 

This is why I actually want to wear boots,

but "I don't want to wear boots."

Why?

It led to "my feet hurting."

 

So, when it came to these boots,

at first, I had a very strong feeling of "how will they be?"

But when I cautiously put my feet in them,

the very first thing I thought was, "These are good!!"

 

What's good about them is, first, the leather is soft.

The leather quality felt soft and easy to wear.

This made the notions of "the leather is stiff and hard to wear" and

"my feet will probably hurt again anyway" disappear.

 

This can be said for clothes other than boots, and for jeans too.

I'm sure you've all felt this before, but when you feel "stress,"

you naturally avoid it, right?

 

If I hadn't tried on these boots,

I might never have worn boots again and would have continued to "dislike" them.

 

That's how much I want to recommend them;

these Vaudeville boots are ones I want everyone to try.

The setting is the vaudeville theaters

seen in New York and other major American cities

from the 1880s to the 1920s.

 

Vaudeville theaters offered a rich variety of entertainment,

including singing, dancing, comedy, and magic.

 

Charlie Chaplin,

the Marx Brothers, Buster Keaton, and

Laurel & Hardy, early silent film stars,

actually came from vaudeville theaters.

 

As traveling performers,

they traveled from theater to theater.

 

These "Vaudeville" boots were created

with the image of a vaudeville actor, who was also a traveling performer.

 

These boots are not based on existing boots,

but are a commercialization of the image

that designer "Rikiya Suzuki" envisioned in his mind.

 

Inspired by American and French boots

from around 1910,

the "Vaudeville" features a high toe and

a quarter made of two separate pieces sewn together,

making it an open-laced cap-toe boot.

 

Combining an original last with a slightly oblique toe with

・a small cap toe

・a large quarter

・a low shaft height

・a small heel, etc.,

we achieved the look of boots from that era.

 

By combining two manufacturing methods:

・Goodyear welt construction

・McKay construction

and strongly narrowing the waist, we "reproduced the elegant silhouette"

of boots from that time.

 

Imagining actors who habitually put on airs,

the toe has a unique shape with a line.

 

The leather quality is extremely soft and adapts well to the foot,

ensuring that the wearer feels no stress...

These are such boots.

 

Black has arrived first (not a full delivery),

and oak brown will arrive around December.

 

The black uses tea-core leather,

and the oak brown uses leather that clearly shows shading,

so you can enjoy the aging process.
