Vaudeville Restock & This Week's New Video: "CEO Goto's Steelbeam Coat Explanation Video" - WEST

~Vaudeville Restock~

Good evening. This is Uemura from WEST.

Today, we'd like to introduce

these boots that have been restocked.

【TM83933】VAUDEVILLE

The setting is the Vaudeville theaters
seen in New York and other big cities
in America from the 1880s to the 1920s.

Vaudeville theaters were rich in variety,
featuring songs, dances, comedy, magic, and more.

Many early silent film stars, such as Chaplin
and the Marx Brothers, reportedly came from Vaudeville.

These "Vaudeville" boots are designed
to resemble the shoes that such Vaudeville performers
might have worn.

They are open-laced boots with a high toe box
and a quarter panel made from two separate pieces sewn together.

These boots combine Goodyear welt
and McKay construction, a combination also seen
in Sportif and ELASTOS models.

The Oak Brown color, which was restocked today,
shows clear color shading.

As the color deepens, the atmosphere changes,
allowing you to enjoy the aging process.

The Vaudeville boots are made from extremely soft leather,
making them very comfortable to wear.
They conform well to your feet, and we highly recommend
everyone try them on.

Please come to the store and try them on.

~USMC M44 Monkey Pants~

【Pre-order item, arriving early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】

The USMC M44 Monkey Pants were trousers issued to the Marine Corps,

and they are a popular item in the vintage market,

affectionately known as 'Monkey Pants'.

The origin of their name is as follows...

They feature large, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.

These large pockets were adopted for carrying a 'poncho',

and the flaps were added to prevent items from falling out.

These pockets resemble a monkey's backside,

which is why they are called 'Monkey Pants'.

The production period for the M44 was actually

very short, just 'one year and three months',

from July 1944 to around October 1945.

Also, because they were issued to the

'elite few' in the U.S. Marine Corps,

the overall production volume was low, making them

quite valuable in the vintage market.

The periods when the U.S. Marine Corps

actually wore them were...

・Battle of Iwo Jima (Feb. 19 - Mar. 26, 1945)

・Around the Battle of Okinawa (Mar. 26 - Sep. 7, 1945).

They were also widely worn during

・the Korean War (Jun. 25, 1950 - Jul. 27, 1953)

after World War II.

It seems they were worn extensively during these times.

JELADO's Monkey Pants use herringbone fabric.

Additionally, they are dyed with vat dyes.

The buttons are doughnut buttons, which also adds to the vintage feel.

By wearing them consistently, you can enjoy the aging process.

They pair very well with half-length coats with native patterns,

leather jackets, and even

coveralls.

I also recommend pairing them with a chambray shirt.

Please make a reservation at the store or online.

Thank you.
