The setting is 1880-1920.

 

This is a "vaudeville theater" that could be seen

in New York and other big cities in America.

 

A vaudeville theater offers a rich variety of entertainment,

including singing, dancing, comedy, and magic.

 

Even early silent film stars like Charlie Chaplin and the Marx Brothers

came from vaudeville.

 

The main subject of today's blog,

"Vaudeville," is a shoe that was created with the image of shoes

that a vaudeville actor might have worn.

 

It is an external wing boot with a high toe and a quarter panel

sewn from two separate pieces of leather.

 

This boot combines the "Goodyear welt construction"

and "Mackay construction."

 

This combination is similar to the Sportif.

 

Vaudeville, with its soft leather and excellent fit.

The leather used for this Vaudeville is horsehide (horsefront).

 

This is leather that has not been "finished" in the usual way,

leaving natural skin marks.

Tiger stripes and scratches will become apparent as you wear them,

but I believe that is part of the charm of horsehide.

 

Black is brown core leather,

and Oak Brown is leather with clear color shading.

the 41Khaki stencil will age beautifully.

etc., are details incorporated into this leather jacket.

 

It's a moderately heavy leather, hill-dyed with black,

which is what's called tea-core leather.

With repeated wear, the light brown base will show through,

changing its expression, so you can enjoy

that aspect of the leather.

The old 41Khaki was discontinued

with its last arrival in May 2023.

 

To release new chino pants to replace it,

we cut up expensive vintage 41Khaki pants,

analyzed them, and produced the fabric from scratch.

 

Using American deep-south cotton,

we've recreated a natural slub yarn.

 

While the previous 41Khaki was dyed with reactive dyes,

this new 41Khaki is dyed with vat dyes.

 

The 41Khaki, using American cotton, shuttle looms, and vat dyes,

is finished to preserve the atmosphere and texture of the original.

 

The ultimate chino pants, with meticulous attention to detail in

raw cotton, yarn, weaving, and dyeing...

When it was previously released, it sold out

at an incredible speed, and there are many customers

waiting for the next arrival of this popular item,

The base is from before the 1950s,

To reproduce a thick but soft fabric,

we thoroughly analyzed vintage flannel shirts

and, like Lee's workwear, sent them to a testing institution

 

・Fiber length

・Twist coefficient

・Yarn count

・Number of threads per inch

 

After detailed analysis of these factors, we developed a new flannel from scratch.

 

This product uses

sulfur dyes.

While the demand for sulfur dyeing has been low in recent years,

the "aging" that occurs with wear,

and the soft "texture" and "feel against the skin,"

as if wrapped in a towel, are outstanding and highly recommended.

 

This is a product that receives a lot of inquiries

from customers concerned about sizing, but it would be appreciated

if you could consult us in-store rather than by phone

(as we may not be able to respond due to customers visiting, etc.).

"Last Resort" means

a family heirloom or trump card,

and if the white tag is the first series,

the fourth series, following the black tag and brown tag,

is the "Blue Tag" series.

 

The white and black tags focus on LEVI'S,

the brown tag focuses on 41Khaki…

So what about the blue tag?

 

The blue tag is a collection centered on workwear,

and when it comes to representative workwear,

"Lee" is definitely essential.

 

The LAST RESORT "Blue Tag" focuses on

light ounce denim workwear.

 

Since it's 10.5 oz denim,

unlike the white and black tags, the lower ounce blue tag

will undoubtedly show a different kind of aging.
