The 2 Monkeys ELASTOS【TM01945】

Chelsea boots were one of the most popular types of footwear in England and America in the late 19th century (1850-1900).

Born in the first half of the 19th century, Chelsea boots were marketed as new shoes that used elastic fabric—which had just been commercialized at the time—on both sides of the ankle to provide a snug fit without shoelaces.

It is said that Queen Victoria, the British monarch at the time, wore them every day.

In the upper class, with Queen Victoria at its peak, various ornate boots were worn.

 

 

 

Elastos incorporates brogue and center seam details, reminiscent of those worn by the upper class of the era, and uses vibrant, fine-grained teal kip leather (leather from young cattle before they become full-grown).

 

 

There are also very delicate embellishments around the elastic on the sides.

 

 

Above all, they are incredibly easy to put on and take off, making them perfect boots for Japan, where people remove their shoes at the entrance and many restaurants have floor seating, perhaps even more so than 19th-century London.

 

 

Also, the waxed kip leather shows wonderful aging.

To reproduce the thick and soft fabric texture of the 1950s,

we analyzed it and approached it differently from JELADO's standard flannel shirts,

resulting in the new flannel shirt called the 'Farmers Shirt'.

 

It's a flannel shirt with a fluffy softness and pleasant feel against the skin,

you'll feel "comfortable" when you wear it.

 

The fabric is sulfur-dyed.

The vintage-like texture creates an even better atmosphere, so we highly recommend it.
