The 2 Monkeys VAUDEVILLE【TM83933】

Vaudeville is a form of popular entertainment that originated in France at the end of the 19th century. It was also all the rage in the United States before the spread of movies.

 

 

The 2 Monkeys' VAUDEVILLE was created with the image of shoes worn by vaudeville performers traveling from city to city. It was inspired by American and French boots from around 1910. Although it is not a reproduction of a specific vintage boot, the name seems to fit the theme, considering that vaudeville is a form of entertainment that spread from France to America.

As for movies, they were originally shown during intermissions at vaudeville shows. It was much later that movies were shown in movie theaters.

Thus, vaudeville and early film had a very close relationship.Yes, in fact many of the early silent film stars came from vaudeville backgrounds.
