The 2 Monkeys のラウンドネック・レザーウエストコート~Flagship store~

The 2 Monkeys Round Neck Leather Waistcoat ~Flagship store~

Thank you for always visiting us.

The 2 Monkeys has released a round-neck version of their classic waistcoat. This jacket is perfect for the current season, and I'd like to introduce it to you.

The 2 Monkeys Round-neck Leather Waistcoat【TM03430】

This is a round-neck style of The 2 Monkeys' classic V-neck leather jacket.

In the 18th century, beaver hunting was thriving among settlers in parts of North America that were still French territory. These Frenchmen were also willing to travel to uncharted lands for fur trade with Native Americans.

(Classic Leather Waistcoat)

The 2 Monkeys Leather Waistcoat【TM83434】

This garment was created imagining the outerwear that settlers of that time might have worn while traveling through rugged, unexplored territories. What form would an 18th-century French-style waistcoat (jacket) have taken if it had been made using the techniques of Native Americans, who were already wearing leather garments at that time? This Leather Waistcoat is the result of such a hypothesis.

Today, a waistcoat refers to a buttoned, sleeveless vest worn as part of a three-piece suit, like these,

However, in France until the mid-18th century, long-sleeved garments like the one above were called waistcoats (or "vestes" in French). This is a silk waistcoat (vest) made in France in 1747.

It features the curved, forward-set sleeves typical of the era.

Furthermore, it incorporates details from 18th-century French style, such as a unique back seam to create a fitted silhouette,

and gussets at the hem.

The biggest difference from the classic waistcoat is the use of incredibly soft tanned cowhide.

This is a very comfortable jacket to wear. Please consider it.

~Information about Reserved Items~

We would like to introduce a product that has just become available for pre-order.

[Pre-order Item, Expected Arrival in June] JELADO Rebel Jacket Horse Hide Semi Aniline Finish Black【SG71428】

The Rebel Jacket

is a long-standing staple in JELADO's collection,

a riders jacket.

To make it a simple rider's jacket,

we've eliminated the epaulets.

Furthermore, instead of quilting,

we've used cupro to make it easier to put on and take off,

resulting in a garment designed for comfort.

With 1.6mm thick leather and a semi-aniline finish,

it offers a softness not found in 100% pigment-finished leather, and because it's "tea-core leather,"

you can enjoy its aging process with repeated wear.

There's one more product available for pre-order.

This is also a very popular product,

which sold out extremely quickly when previously released,

with sizes disappearing in no time.

[Pre-order Item, Expected Arrival in June] JELADO CM47 HBT Baker Pants【CT03347】

These are baker pants made from "herringbone twill" fabric,

adopted in 1947.

* What is herringbone?

"Herringbone" =

"herring" (the fish) and "bone"

The pattern is derived from the bones seen when a herring fish is split open.

Baker pants were worn in battle,

but also during administrative work.

It is also said that they were worn by bakers, which is why they are called 'Baker Pants'.

Since they are made of herringbone twill fabric,

they are thick and durable.

Also, because they are 100% cotton, you can enjoy the aging process with repeated wear.

And while pre-orders for this item have been accepted for some time,

it was a popular item at the 2025SS preview.

[Pre-order Item, Expected Arrival Early March] Monkey Trousers【CT11344】

USMC M44 Monkey Pants are

trousers issued to the Marine Corps,

and are popular items in the vintage industry

under the nickname "Monkey Pants."

The origin of the name is here...

Large, horizontally-shaped cargo pockets with flaps.

These large pockets were adopted to hold ponchos,

and the flaps were included to prevent contents from spilling out.

These pockets resemble the hindquarters of a monkey,

which is why they are called "Monkey Pants."

The production period for the M44 was actually very short,

just "1 year and 3 months,"

from July 1944 to around October 1945.

Furthermore, because they were issued to the "elite few"

U.S. Marine Corps, the overall production volume was low,

leading to quite high prices in the vintage market.

The periods when the U.S. Marine Corps

actually wore them were...

・Battle of Iwo Jima (Feb. 19 - Mar. 26, 1945)

・Around the Battle of Okinawa (Mar. 26 - Sep. 7, 1945)

Also, after World War II,

・Korean War (Jun. 25, 1950 - Jul. 27, 1953)

It seems they were widely worn during these times.

JELADO's Monkey Pants use herringbone material.

Furthermore, they are dyed with vat dye.

And the buttons are donut buttons,

which also creates a vintage feel.

By wearing them regularly, you can enjoy the aging process.

You can enjoy it.

half-length coats with native patterns,

leather jackets... and even

they pair very well with coveralls, etc.

I also recommend pairing them with chambray shirts.

Please make your reservations in store or online.

Thank you.

Popular items are now open for pre-order.

We look forward to your reservations.

Thank you.
