The 2 Monkeys Union Army Cavalry Jacket 【TM01440】

 

 

 

 

The original (vintage) version of this jacket,

worn by British cavalry soldiers,

is made of wool, but this release

is made from cotton pique fabric.

 

Since it's designed as a light jacket,

it can be easily worn over a T-shirt

or work shirt.

 

In an era before mass production,

clothing was often custom-made or varied

according to state or regional military units,

resulting in many different patterns for military uniforms.

 

It features a fitted silhouette and a stand collar.

 

Sleeves adorned with mountain-shaped decorations.

 

A unique back pattern.

 

 

This jacket is packed with unique details

characteristic of The 2 Monkeys.

as it's worn and washed repeatedly.

While the stencil is dark when first purchased,

it fades with washing,

The old 41 Khaki was discontinued

with its last shipment in May 2023.

 

To release new chino pants in its place,

we cut up an expensive vintage 41 Khaki,

analyzed it, and produced the fabric from scratch.

 

Using American deep south cotton,

we've recreated naturally uneven yarns.

 

Unlike the previous 41 Khaki which was reactive dyed,

this 41 Khaki is dyed with vat dyes.

 

The 41 Khaki, made with American cotton, shuttle loom, and vat dyes,

is finished to preserve the vintage feel and fabric texture.

 

From raw cotton, yarn, weaving, to dyeing,

this ultimate chino pant is meticulously crafted in every aspect...

When it was last released, it sold out

at an incredible speed, and there are many customers

"Last Resort" means

a secret weapon or ace up one's sleeve. If the white tag is the first offensive,

then the blue tag series is the fourth offensive, following the black tag and brown tag.

 

White and black tags focus on LEVI'S,

and the brown tag focuses on 41 Khaki...

So what about the blue tag?

 

The blue tag is a collection centered around workwear,

and when it comes to workwear,

"Lee" is indispensable.

 

LAST RESORT "Blue Tag" focuses on

lightweight denim workwear.

 

Since it's 10.5 oz denim,

This is based on the "LASTRESORT 41 Khaki"

which is currently available for pre-order, but the fabric is different.

 

It's a 100% cotton twisted yarn twill fabric.

The warp uses sulfur-dyed twisted yarn, and the weft uses

similarly sulfur-dyed black yarn, resulting in a thick and firm fabric.

 

Since it's 100% cotton, it will age beautifully

with repeated wear, so we hope you enjoy

watching its expression change over time.

 

As this is produced only once a year, we believe many customers

have been eagerly awaiting it.

Age of Longing 407EXX,

I'm sure you all know about

LAST RESORT "Black Tag",

Following the previously released

"White Tag," the original Last Resort,

this is the second installment in the Last Resort series.

 

Compared to the white tag, the black tag denim has a stronger black tint rather than a blue tint.

 

JELADO categorizes the 1947 model into early and late versions.

The white tag, with its strong blue-tinted denim fabric,

is positioned as the late 1947 model, and the 501XX from this era is called:

 

"The greatest masterpiece in 501XX history."

 

If you want to know why it's called that, please visit JELADO WEST (lol).

 

The white tag denim fabric focuses on the XX fabric of the 1950s.

 

So, what about the "black tag" with its strong black tint?

 

World War II ended in 1945,

and during the war, each Levi's factory was producing

the "War Model" that everyone loves.

 

After the war ended, material controls were lifted,

but it took a considerable amount of time for the details to return to their original form.

 

The reason is that a lot of the denim fabric and auxiliary materials used in the War Model remained.

 

LEVI'S denim fabrics also had No.1 denim to No.3 denim.

(I only know up to No.3, but if No.4 or others exist, please let me know.) This refers to the quality of the denim fabric.

 

No. 2 is a cheaper version of No. 1 denim, and No. 3 is a cheaper version of No. 2 denim.

However, the denim fabric used in the War Model was probably No. 2 or No. 3 denim, wasn't it?

 

After this denim fabric was used up,

it transitioned to what JELADO calls the "white tag." The black tag denim is from the transitional period between the end of the war and the switch in denim fabric.

 

It is 15 oz, and because it uses highly uneven yarn,

as it ages with repeated wear,

it will develop vertical fading like falling rain.

 

The real pleasure of denim, after all, is the "fading."

Fading is essential for "wearing" denim, and it will be completely different for each person.

I believe this pleasure is the greatest appeal of denim.

 

This time, we are increasing production by 400 pieces,

so for customers who couldn't purchase it during the last arrival in December,

and for customers who are considering purchasing it now,

I believe this is a chance to get your hands on it.
