Today, from the Flagship store, we'd like to introduce ELASTOS from The 2 Monkeys.

A small shipment arrived last week, and while some sizes are missing, we have a wide range available, so you can try on different sizes in store.

It comes in two colors: Victorian Blue and Albert Brown.

Side-gore boots are said to have been the most widely worn footwear in England and America in the latter half of the 19th century (1850-1900).

ELASTOS is inspired by those from the mid-Victorian era (1860-80).

According to J. Sparkes Hall, who patented this shoe in England in 1951,

Queen Victoria (reigned 1837-1901) is said to have worn them daily.

The upper classes wore them with various decorations,

while the middle classes seem to have worn simple black leather ones.

While incorporating the elegant style and distinctive details of boots from that era,

we made them into short boots that can be worn all year round with casual styles.

And the biggest feature of side-gore boots is their ease of putting on and taking off, isn't it?

This appeal has been carried on from that time to the present day.

The large V-shaped gore (elastic fabric) on both sides of the ankle,

the design that creates a curved instep with a center seam without crimping,

the decorations with stitching and perforations that became the origin of modern brogues,

and the cap with a projection towards the instep, among other features,

re-design and incorporate the styles of boots from that era.

Furthermore, regarding the construction method, The 2 Monkeys has combined the familiar Goodyear welt construction and Blake stitch construction to create a classical style with a significantly narrowed waist.

This construction method achieves astonishing lightness.

Everyone who tries them on in store is invariably surprised by how light they are.

Their lightness, unlike typical boots, is a major attraction.

Both Victorian Blue and Albert Brown are sure to pair well with your existing pants, such as jeans and chinos, making it difficult to decide which color to choose.
