Today we will be introducing The 2 Monkeys' classic boots, which are the easiest to put on and take off.

 

The 2 Monkeys ELASTOS【TM01945】

 

 

Victorian Blue from ELASTOS is back in stock.

This is the only side-gore boot in The 2 Monkeys' boot series, making it extremely easy to put on and take off.

 

Side-gore boots were one of the most popular footwear in Britain and America in the late 19th century (1850-1900).

Side-gore boots, which first appeared in the early 19th century (around 1830?), were marketed as a new type of shoe that fitted without shoelaces by attaching rubber cloth, which had just become practical at the time, to both sides of the ankle.

 

According to J. Sparkles Hall, who patented the shoe in the UK in 1951, Queen Victoria (reigned 1837-1901) also wore them daily.

The upper classes wore shoes with various decorations, while the middle classes wore simple black leather shoes.

 

At the time, Ryoma Sakamoto was trading with Britain, so it was probably inevitable that he would wear these shoes.

ELASTOS is a short boot that incorporates the elegant style and details of the side-gore boots of that era, and can be worn all year round with casual styles.

It incorporates many of the styles of boots from that time, including side elastic types, such as large V-shaped gore (rubber cloth) on both sides of the ankle, a design that raises the instep in a curved shape at the center seam without crimping, decoration with stitching and holes that are the precursor to modern brogues, and a cap with protrusions toward the instep.

As is familiar to The 2 Monkeys, the soles are made using two methods: Goodyear and McKay.

 

Victorian Blue is currently available in all sizes.

Some people may think that this color is difficult to match with other items, but it goes well with American casual pants such as denim and chinos.

This is recommended for those who already have a standard pair of boots, or for those buying for the first time but don't want to look like everyone else.

Brown is also in stock, although sizes vary.
