A Deep Dive into the Steelbeam Coat ~Flagship Store~
Share
Thank you for always visiting our store.
Today, I'd like to talk about one of this season's highlights, the Wabash Coverall, "Steelbeam Coat."

Steelbeam Coat【AG11406】
The base for this item is a SWEETORR coverall with modified pockets, believed to be from before 1920, owned by our company.

The fabric used is a special Wabash fabric derived from the LASTRESORT blue tag.
Similar to the blue tag, it uses Texas deep south cotton, combines three types of yarn counts for the warp, and uses indigo-dyed yarn with rope dyeing for the weft.

Since the weft is also indigo-dyed in the same color, the reverse side is also blue. Furthermore, similar to the "Stifel company," famous for supplying vintage Wabash fabric, the reverse side is randomly overprinted with "JELADO" in pigment.

We reproduced the vintage WABASH stripe fabric from "Stifel company" owned by us, using discharge printing. The stripe pitch and dot size faithfully replicate vintage details, creating a unique and original material.

We also reproduced the watch pocket unique to SWEETORR.
Please come and see this ultimate coverall.
〜USMC M44 Monkey Pants〜
【Pre-order item: Arriving early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】
USMC M44 Monkey Pants are pants issued to the Marine Corps,
They are popular items in the Vintage industry, affectionately known as "Monkey Pants."
The origin of their name is as follows...
These pants feature large, horizontally long cargo pockets with flaps.
These large pockets were designed to hold a "poncho,"
and the flaps were added to prevent the contents from falling out.
These pockets are said to resemble the hindquarters of a monkey,
hence the name "Monkey Pants."
The production period for the M44 was, surprisingly, very short, only "1 year and 3 months,"
from July 1944 to around October 1945.
Additionally, because they were issued to the "elite few"
in the US Marine Corps, the total production volume was low, leading to
quite high prices in the vintage market.
The periods when the US Marine Corps actually wore them include:
・Battle of Iwo Jima (Feb 19 - Mar 26, 1945)
・Around the Battle of Okinawa (Mar 26 - Sep 7, 1945).
They were also frequently worn after World War II, during the
・Korean War (Jun 25, 1950 - Jul 27, 1953)
It seems they were worn extensively during these periods.
JELADO's Monkey Pants feature herringbone material.
Furthermore, they are dyed with vat dye.
And the buttons are donut buttons, adding to the vintage feel.
By wearing them consistently, you can enjoy the aging process.
They pair very well with half-length coats with native patterns,
leather jackets, and even
coveralls.
I also recommend pairing them with chambray shirts.
Please make your reservations at the store or online.
Thank you.
