Today, I'd like to introduce REDWING, which is available at both WEST and the Ebisu store.

 

Among REDWINGs, I think this can be called a masterpiece.

This is an introduction to the IRON RANGER.

 

in northern Minnesota, USA,

is used directly as the product name.

 

To protect their toes,

miners wore boots with an extra layer of leather on the toe,

known as "capped toes."

 

 

 

 

From this,

capped toe =

Iron Ranger boots were named.

 

 

The sole used is a Vibram #430 Mini-Lug sole.

Named after Red Wing's founder,

Charles Beckman,

this model is indispensable for Red Wing enthusiasts:

the Beckman Flatbox.

 

The Flatbox, a model adopting classic details from the early 1900s,

is a versatile pair that blends well with various fashion styles,

regardless of style.

 

The Flatbox, without a toe box, is characterized by the leather conforming to the toes

and the sole curving with wear, making it comfortable.

 

It uses brown-core leather.

As it's worn, a faint brown undertone

begins to show through.

 

I believe this is the joy

of brown-core leather.

 

Through aging, it develops a vintage-like

aesthetic, so for customers who wear them

from the beginning until the brown undertone appears,

I want them to enjoy the character of the leather.

 

The sole uses a half-rubber Gro Cord sole with good grip.

 

The shoelaces are waxed

to improve durability and prevent loosening.
