Today, I'd like to introduce the JELADO WEST popular and long-time classic

I will introduce the aging of JELADO's Rebel Jacket, which is based on this.

It is estimated that he has worn it for about six months to a year.

Perhaps he wore it quite hard?

 

Minamikawa-san, who also rides a motorcycle in his private life,

As you can see in the image above, the wrinkles on the arms are magnificent.

that Minamikawa-san has nurtured...

 

This is an image of the right arm.

The Rebel Jacket is made of tea-core leather.

 

It's not just a faint hint, but a full-on display of brown.

This creates a wonderful atmosphere.

 

 

 

 

Even looking at each part, this atmosphere...

It's irresistible, isn't it? ^_^

 

JELADO's Rebel Jacket, based on Wind Ward,

has had the epaulets on the shoulders removed

to create a simpler rider's jacket.

 

Because the original pattern would have looked awkward,

we created a new pattern to match modern styles.

 

The leather is about 1.6mm thick horsehide.

It is combination tanned (chrome & tannin).

 

※What is combination tanning?

"It achieves a more natural finish without taking much time,"

making it a tanning method that truly combines the best of both worlds.

 

JELADO's "Rebel Jacket" is chrome-tanned first, followed by tannin tanning.

 

When performing combination tanning, which combines chrome tanning and tannin tanning,

the leather has a richer texture than leather that has only been chrome-tanned.

By performing tannin tanning in a shorter time than it would normally take,

we have prepared leather that offers a moderate sense of weight and allows you to enjoy the aging process

as you wear it repeatedly.

 

The base is dyed light brown,

then finished with black pigment dyeing at a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo,

resulting in tea-core leather.

 

This is colored with a semi-aniline finish,

mixing pigment and dye in equal parts.

 

It has a softness not found in 100% pigment, and as mentioned above,

as you wear it repeatedly, the tea-core leather underneath

will gradually start to show through.

 

The lining is made of cupra.

It slides well when putting on and taking off,

and causes no stress, so for the wearer,

it must be a highly appreciated detail, wouldn't you say?

 

 

I borrowed Minamikawa-san's Rebel Jacket as an aging sample,

and had Yamamoto try it on.
