So this time, we would like to introduce JELADO's signature leather rider jacket, the "Rebel Jacket," along with its spectacular aging!

JELADO Rebel Jacket Horse Hide Semi Aniline Finish Black [SG71428]

The top is in brand new condition, but if you wear it for about a year...

This shows dynamic aging!

The material is a newly developed material that pursues a vintage feel.1.6mm thickHorsehide (horse leather) is used.

The base is dyed light brown and then sprayed with black using a hill dyeing method at a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo, resulting in brown-core leather.

This time, to bring out a stronger black, we used a semi-aniline finish, which is a mixture of half pigment and half dye.

The effort was well worth it, as the accordion-like wrinkles on the arm create a striking contrast between the black and brown. Another fun thing is that the wrinkles are different on each side.

For the tanning process, we used a "combination tanning" method that combines chrome and tannin. Chrome tanning is characterized by producing strong and flexible leather, while tannin tanning is characterized by producing leather with a property called plasticity, which is the ability to remember its shape. This shape memory is what gives the leather its wrinkles and crushed surface, giving it a glossy finish. We aimed to combine the best of both chrome tanning and tannin tanning.

Also, as you wear it, the grain will become more pronounced like this.

The distinctive features of horse leather, such as the tiger stripes, gradually emerge. The tiger stripes are deep wrinkles that appear from the neck to the shoulders of a horse. In Italy, the stronger the tiger stripes, the more beautiful the leather is considered to be.

The pockets, which are often touched by hands, have also aged beautifully.

This model is based on the store brand,This is a 50's riders jacket made by Montgomery Ward's Wind Word.

Although it is a basic style, the three studs on the back are a nice accent.
