Age of Longing 301EXX…

The 1947 501XX is highly acclaimed and known as "the masterpiece of 501XX history."

Due to material controls during World War II,

LEVI'S had to change some details.

Even after the war ended and material controls were lifted,

it took time for all the details to be restored.

*Some details were actually removed permanently.

1946 saw a transitional period.

Fabrics and parts used for S501XX and S506XX remained,

and after they were used up,

they moved on to what is known as the "47 model,"

hailed as the masterpiece of 501XX history.

The 301EXX, based on the early 1947 model,

features a very dark denim, similar to the denim used during the war.

It also has an uneven texture, creating vertical fades that resemble falling rain.

With repeated wear,

it will age beautifully,

and you can enjoy a different atmosphere than the white tag.
