Today, I'd like to introduce

Jelado's standard LAST RESORT denim.

 

 

JELADO Age of Longing Black Tag 407EXX Size34(XS)~38(M) Denim JKT【JP94407E】

The black tag 407EXX & 301EXX

are 15oz denims with a strong "blackish" hue.

The fabric has strong unevenness and nep, and

fades vertically intensely.

 

are 14oz denims with a strong "bluish" hue,

and many people may be more familiar with this type of denim,

including those from other brands.

Although it's 100% cotton, we refer to it as "natural stretch", and

the white tag is characterized by being extremely soft and

comfortable to wear.

 

First, I'll show you the aging of the two.

(407EXX & 406XX)

 

(301EXX & 301XX)

 

The "blackish" black tag and

the "bluish" white tag have completely different fading results.

 

Now, for some history and explanation...

 

1945...World War II ended, and

"material controls" were lifted.

As a result, Levi's returned to the details

of pre-material control, but

there was one problem.

That was the "fabric."

 

Levi's factories still had excess denim fabric

that had been used for wartime models. *There were also auxiliary materials.

 

Prioritizing using up the leftover fabric before using new denim fabric,

Levi's continued to make 501XX and 506XX

from this leftover fabric for two full years

from 1945, when the war ended,

until all the leftover fabric was used up.

 

And the 1947 501XX & 506XX,

which used new denim fabric,

returned to the form "before material controls."

*Some details were eliminated.

 

The 1947 501XX is regarded as the "masterpiece"

in LEVI'S 501XX history.

 

The reason is that many brands

used the 1947 501XX as a sample,

and it was highly regarded and popular as denim.

 

However, the so-called masterpiece 1947 model

actually has an "early type" and a "late type",

and the late type, which reverted to the original details,

corresponds to JELADO's 301XX (white tag).

 

The white tag also includes

313XX and 312ZXX, and since it focuses on 1950s XX fabric,

it is a denim with a strong blue hue.

Therefore, the white tag denim jacket is

the 406XX, which is based on the 507XX (1952-1962),

commonly known as the 2nd type.

 

The black tag focuses on the 506XX and 501XX

that used the "blackish" denim fabric (47 early type)

used in wartime models,

which correspond to JELADO's 407EXX and 301EXX.

 

 

I hope you can feel the differences in silhouette and fading,

reproduced from a duplicated shoe last (owned by Mr. Suzuki)

of 1941 U.S. Navy service shoes.

These are the glass leather U.S.N. 41 Service Shoes.

 

Furthermore, there's KOTOKA, a brand launched by

seven shoe manufacturers in Nara.
