The fabric, woven at a rate of only about 40m per day,
is made on a TOYODA G3 loom, of which fewer than 10 are currently in operation.
I'd like to draw your attention to the width of the fabric.
Modern looms can weave fabric twice this width, and some can even weave two rows simultaneously,
resulting in a tremendous difference in the speed at which a single piece of fabric is woven.
Newer machines offer higher productivity, produce a cleaner fabric appearance, and ensure consistent quality.
However, they cannot achieve the "vintage character" that JELADO seeks, so they don't meet our quality standards...
That's why JELADO's Last Resort Denim is made using original specifications for uneven slub yarns
and looms that are over half a century old.
You'll understand the unique color, texture, and fabric density when you hold (or wear) them.
I explain these details extensively, almost annoyingly so, on YouTube,
so I think if you delve into (and watch) the world of deep craftsmanship, you'll come to love jeans even more.
Here's a video that's a three-part series packed with a considerable amount of information.
We upload one video every Friday, so please subscribe to our channel.
Despite writing all this, unfortunately, our directly managed stores in Tokyo and Osaka currently have no stock.
Some customers visit hoping to find stock in stores, but all we can do is inform them of the next delivery time.
The "white tag" series is probably expected to be restocked after Golden Week, sometime in May or later.
We've been out of stock for over half a year, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
That said, JELADO has retailers nationwide, so I've listed the current stock situation below as of today.
If you want them now, please check the links.
