These baker pants use a fabric called 'Herringbone Twill', which was adopted in 1947.

※ What is Herringbone?

"Herringbone" =

"herring (fish)" and "bone"

The name comes from the pattern resembling the bones of a herring when it is splayed open.

Baker pants were worn on the battlefield,

but also during indoor work.

It is also said that they were worn by bakers, which is how they got the name 'Baker Pants'.
