A project launched jointly by 7 shoe manufacturers in Nara...

That is "KOTOKA".

This brand aims to promote awareness that Nara is one of Japan's leading leather shoe production areas and to challenge unique shoemaking.

 

We want to make leather shoes with Japanese "sensibility."

This is also the wish of those who have been making shoes in Nara, the ancient capital.

 

"KOTOKA" from Nara, where 7 such shoe manufacturers have gathered.

 

This brand is supervised by Mr. Suzuki Masaya, who was formerly the president of Red Wing.

 

 

Jelado West started handling this brand in January of this year,

and it has been very popular in our store.

Many customers visited us at the "KOTOKA" instant sales event held in May.

Applying wax and thoroughly impregnating it into the leather with a special hand iron...

By repeating this process 3 to 4 times,

you get leather with clear color variations.

 

In other words, it will age beautifully as you wear it.

It's a type of leather that allows you to enjoy how it changes over time.

 

As its name suggests, the one-piece leather derby is made from a single piece of leather.

Therefore, there are no seams.
