Good evening, this is Uemura from WEST.
Today's blog is about Engineer Boots.
JELADO the BOOTED ENGINEER BOOT BLACK (Teacore) [JB94901]
These are JELADO THE BOOTED Engineer Boots, released based on a vintage boot owned by CEO Goto.
The leather is teacore horsebutt.
As you wear them in, the brown underlayer will reveal itself, allowing you to fully enjoy the aging process.
The original vintage boot featured unique details not found in boots of the same era, such as a single leather sole with a low heel, a vamp that acted as a counter pocket, a thick shaft, a reverse-curved buckle, a pointed strap end, and a gusset at the opening sewn on afterward.
These Engineer Boots modify the last of the base boot, remove the toecap, and adjust the base of the ankle strap.
That is JELADO THE BOOTED.
These are boots from the JELADO label, supervised by Michiya Suzuki, who is also the designer of The 2Monkeys.

Available in half sizes.
These are one-of-a-kind, rare engineer boots with a unique form and hand-dyed finish.
Due to limited production capacity, orders are mainly produced based on those received at 1-2 trunk shows per year.
The leather is Italian horsebutt.
It has a dense fiber structure not found in cowhide from the horse's hindquarters, and its suppleness creates beautiful wrinkles.
The tiger stripes, scars, and pinholes often seen on its surface are all rich expressions unique to this leather.
The leather's expression and wrinkle patterns vary from pair to pair, but each is beautiful and showcases the unique character of this leather.
The boots can be hand-dyed by Mr. Suzuki in five colors:
Black, Walnut (dark brown),
Mahogany (reddish dark brown),
Dark Olive, Dark Navy.
Since they are dyed with aniline dyes, the leather's grain creates a shaded color with depth.
You can also enjoy the aging process, where the color fades relatively quickly.
For black, a "pigment finish" is also available, where the strong black leather gradually reveals a teacore over time.
Additionally, you can choose pigment-dyed teacore black leather, though sizes and quantities are limited.
There are three types of soles:
a sharp single leather sole,
a specification with a leather midsole only at the front,
and a separate type using a rubber half sole.
You can also choose the edge dye color and stitch color.

The former 41Khaki model was discontinued
after its final arrival in May 2023.
In order to release new chino pants to replace it,
we cut up and analyzed a highly sought-after vintage 41Khaki,
and produced the fabric from scratch.
Using American deep-south cotton,
we recreated natural uneven yarn.
Whereas the previous 41Khaki was dyed with reactive dyes,
this new 41Khaki is dyed with vat dyes.
The 41Khaki, made with American cotton, a shuttle loom, and vat dyes,
is finished so as not to spoil the atmosphere and fabric feel of the era.
From raw cotton to yarn, weaving, and dyeing,
this is the ultimate pair of chino pants, meticulously crafted in every aspect...

a trump card or a last resort.
If the white tag is the first line of attack,
the fourth line, following the black tag and brown tag, is
the "blue tag" series.
The white and black tags focus on LEVI'S,
the brown tag focuses on 41Khaki...
So, what about the blue tag?
The blue tag is a collection centered on workwear,
and when it comes to representative workwear,
"Lee" is definitely indispensable.
The LAST RESORT "blue tag" focuses on
light-ounce denim workwear.
Since it's 10.5 oz denim,
unlike the white and black tags, the lighter ounce blue tag
will undoubtedly show a different kind of aging.
In that sense,
it is a very exciting series.

Although the base is the same as the "LASTRESORT 41Khaki"
that is currently accepting pre-orders, the fabric is different.
This is a 100% cotton twisted yarn twill fabric.
The warp threads are made of sulfur-dyed twisted yarn, and the weft threads
are made of black yarn, also sulfur-dyed, creating a thick and stiff fabric.
Since it's 100% cotton, it will age beautifully with wear,
so we hope you enjoy watching its appearance change.
Since this is produced only once a year, we believe that there are many customers
who have been eagerly awaiting it.
