Today, I'd like to introduce this.

 

This is the new shirt that appeared in the

JELADO 2023MS Collection...

 

 

JELADO Mechanic Shirt Indigo【JP82112ID】

JELADO Mechanic Shirt Cinnamon【JP82112】

The Mechanic Shirt is based on

short-sleeved chambray shirts from the 1940s-1950s.

 

It comes in two colors.

Indigo & Cinnamon.

 

 

 

 

Indigo uses pin-check fabric,

and Cinnamon uses twisted chambray fabric.

 

 

A key feature of this shirt is

the large pockets on both sides relative to the body width.

 

 

The front buttons and pocket buttons are

"cat-eye buttons," which were used on shirts and cardigans

up to around the 1960s.

 

※What are cat-eye buttons?

They have a depression where the thread passes through, and when the thread is passed through,

it resembles a cat's eye,

hence the name cat-eye button.

 

As mentioned above, these buttons have a depression where the thread passes through,

which prevents the thread from fraying easily.

 

 

The hem features selvedge gussets

as a detail.

 

※What is a gusset?

A triangular piece of fabric sewn in to prevent the seams of the front and back body

from tearing. That triangular piece of fabric is called a gusset.

 

 

 

Since it has no placket,

it can be worn like an open-collar shirt, and the silhouette is a boxy shape.

 

When washed and tumble-dried,

the twisted threads tighten, making it easier to show fading, and it gains more character with age.

 

Please enjoy the vintage-like fading.

The denim is JELADO's classic Black Tag

JELADO Age of Longing Black tag 301EXX Denim Pants【JP94301E】

 

 

 

 

 

This is the 301EXX, which focuses on

the LEVI'S 501XX (1947 model).

 

The 1947 501XX is sometimes called the masterpiece among all 501XX models,

but that refers to the later type of denim.

 

Since this Black Tag is based on the early type,

it has a strong blackish denim.

 

※After the end of World War II in 1945,

each factory still had wartime fabric remaining.

The 301EXX is a transitional model

from using up this fabric to starting to use new fabric.

 

The fabric is 15 oz.

It has a strong slubby feel, and the vertical fading is pronounced.

The way its expression changes as you wear it is a must-see.

 

Currently, both stores only have W28 and W29.
