This Warmup Sweat is an exact reproduction of a vintage Champion Reverse Weave,

focusing on recreating it as close to the original as possible.

 

You all know about Reverse Weave.

What sets it apart from other companies is that generally,

sweatshirts shrink vertically.

 

This means the length becomes shorter.

Sam Friedland of Champion noticed this problem.

 

To address this vertical shrinkage problem,

Sam Friedland believed that by orienting the fabric horizontally,

instead of the usual vertical direction,

the shrinkage could be reduced.

 

Furthermore, by using vertical ribs

from both underarms to the hem,

horizontal shrinkage is reduced.

Additionally, the use of ribs

provides elasticity, increasing ease of movement.

 

This is a characteristic of Reverse Weave,

and it is also incorporated in the newly released Warmup Sweat.

 

The dry, crisp feel when you touch it...

and the thickness of the fabric, etc.

We have made it as close as possible to a vintage Reverse Weave,

so we hope you can feel those aspects.
