The base is a vintage from SIERRA DESIGNS.

 

What is SIERRA DESIGNS?

Many people associate mountain parkas with this brand. It can be called the "originator" of mountain parkas and is well-known. It has been 56 years since it was first sold in 1968. This brand uses a material called "60/40 Cloth," which is 60% cotton and 40% nylon.

 

The excellent feature of this material is that the cotton weft expands when it absorbs moisture, making the weave tighter and creating a water-repellent function. While it doesn't completely block water, it is easy to use and highly versatile.

 

Furthermore, the "60/40 Cloth" is also notable for its "good breathability," making it comfortable to wear, which I believe is another recommended point.

 

 

JELADO's "Commandman" uses this material.

 

Coach jackets are often associated with nylon, but by using the 60/40 cloth fabric mentioned earlier, they become high-grade.

 

Because it's 60% cotton weft and 40% nylon warp, the fabric has a luster and will also age beautifully over time.
