Today, we're introducing JELADO's classic leather jackets, alongside the 44Leather which is currently available for pre-order.

This is the Rebel Jacket, a double rider's jacket.

As is customary with JELADO, this one also has a vintage item as its base.

The vintage item used as a base is a 2-Star rider's jacket made by Wind Word, a brand of Montgomery Ward.

The original pattern was too ill-fitting for modern wear, so we created a new pattern to match contemporary styles.

 

 

 

 

 

The material used is approximately 1.6mm thick horsehide, which undergoes a combination tanning process (chrome × tannin).

After chrome tanning, the solvent is washed away and then re-tanned with tannin to bring out the best qualities of the tannin, providing a moderate sense of leather depth and a vintage feel as it is worn.

The base is dyed light brown, then a black topcoat is applied by an established finishing factory in Tokyo. This is what is known as "tea core" leather.

 

This time, to create a simpler rider's jacket, we eliminated the epaulets and did not use quilting or padding, resulting in a leather jacket that can be worn all year round.

Without the quilting, it has a less bulky and more stylish finish.

 

 

 

 

 

 

However, for those who still desire quilting and epaulets, JELADO will also offer a pattern with the same specifications in our autumn/winter collection.

【Pre-order item, late January 2025】JELADO Age of Longing 407EXX Vintage Finish 【JP01407EXX】

This piece pursues vintage realism, with a cinch back that was often cut off in actual vintage garments, faithfully reproduced in this model.

The back features a split-back (T-Back) specification, which is a popular detail today.

While LEVI'S 506XX prices continue to soar year by year, the split-back versions, found on sizes 46 and above, see their prices skyrocket even further, fetching millions of yen at vintage shops.

The 407EXX Vintage Finish, which will be released this time, is available in four sizes: L, XL, XXL, and 50, and was made possible due to customer requests.

Given that it's a direct store exclusive and limited to a production run of "only 100 pieces," we've received many pre-orders from customers.

However, as hemming requests for items purchased in-store or online have increased, we are currently no longer accepting "hemming services for carry-in items from other brands." We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

・Hemming of "JELADO products purchased from our dealers" will incur a fee.
