JELADO's Unstructured Jacket

It's become spring-like during the day, and I can finally wear a single-layer jacket.

 

At the same time, pollen is flying around, and my eyes and nose are in bad shape.

 

Taking medicine helps, but I'm sleepy, whether it's a side effect or just plain tiredness, I'm not sure.

 

Though I'm basically sleepy every day.

 

And what's happening around this time? Graduation ceremonies and entrance ceremonies.

 

American casual dads out there probably want to wear jeans to such events, right?

 

I'm sure you want to stay American casual, right?

 

And when your child grows up, you'll remember, "I wore this to so-and-so's entrance ceremony."

 

However, for these kinds of events, wearing a full denim outfit isn't really an option.

 

So, we created JELADO's "Unconstructed Jacket".

 

The shape is our usual standard model, the Murrayhill Jacket

 

This time, the material is the same Sta-Prest twill as the Catalina released in autumn/winter.

 

The medium-weight 100% polyester material is wrinkle-resistant, making daily care easy.

 

Here's how the fabric looks up close.

 

Like denim, it's a twill weave, so the material blends well when paired with jeans, and it doesn't feel out of place.

 

The fabric is light and refreshing,

 

and the lining is half-lined, making it comfortable even in humid Japan.

 

It doesn't have shoulder pads, so it works well for both moderately business and moderately casual settings.

 

Although it's not fully lined, there's a proper breast pocket on the inside, with a time-consuming double-welted construction.

The finishing inside the pocket is also neatly done.

There's also a Blue Label woven tag on the right chest.

 

And all the fabric edges on the inside are finished with piping.

 

The waist features side vents.

 

Since the original length is set to be slightly shorter, the vents are also shorter.

 

This length will appeal to those who love jeans.

 

Today, I happened to be wearing the Catalina made of the same material, so I tried them on as a set.

 

Since it's a more casual jacket, sneakers also work well.

 

If you want to dress it up, you just need to wear a shirt, so it's truly versatile.
