I'd like to talk about the Warmup series today.

JELADO Expedition Sweat Cardigan【AB02221】

 

 

As I mentioned the other day,

the "Warmup Series"

is a series that focuses on Champion's Reverse Weave.

The Snap Cardigan type introduced this time

is no exaggeration to call it a "masterpiece of the 90s."

This type, loved by many vintage clothing fans,

was produced and released with the cooperation of Riding High.

 

Reverse Weave was patented in 1938.

The originator of Reverse Weave was

a man named Sam Friedlander.

 

Sweatshirts would shrink vertically when washed,

leading to many complaints.

To address this vertical shrinkage, Sam Friedlander

used fabric in a horizontal direction to reduce vertical shrinkage.

Furthermore, by adopting vertical ribs

from the armpit to the hem,

he also addressed horizontal shrinkage.

In addition, by adding elasticity,

functionality was enhanced.

 

A feature of the "Warmup Series" is

that, like Reverse Weave, the fabric thickness

and weight are also brought closer to vintage.
