JELADO Smoker Shirt Indigo Chambray【JP94112】

 

 

This is the Smoker Shirt made of chambray.

 

The fabric is reproduced from a deadstock "BRAVEMAN" work shirt from the 1920s-1930s owned by our company.

Chambray fabric is a plain weave cotton fabric characterized by its unique mottled texture, made with colored warp threads and white (or a different colored) weft threads.

As shown in the image, the weft threads have an uneven texture, resulting in a flexible fabric with moderate thickness and firmness.

This fabric allows you to enjoy the aging process, such as vertical fading and creasing, which are unique to indigo dyeing, as it's worn.

The design is based on a "BIG YANK" gacha-pocket shirt from the 1930s.

The smaller front pocket also reproduces the unique French seam of vintage garments, making it a detail that tickles the vintage enthusiast's heart.

 

 

The stitching uses triple stitching on the shoulders and arms to maintain durability.

Furthermore, the pockets use double stitching, just like in the old days, creating details that evoke the atmosphere of that era.

 

The buttons are hexagonal, similar to those used on old work shirts.

The gusset is selvage with chain stitching.

Since the original "BIG YANK" had both selvage gussets and French seam gussets, we chose the selvage gusset type to preserve the atmosphere of the time.

If cotton threads are used, they will tighten further after washing and drying, resulting in more pronounced fading around the shoulders and arms.

The fit is designed to be sleek and comfortable, with moderately slim arms.

This work shirt combines a strong presence and a sturdy, robust construction with a highly fashionable design, making it a satisfying choice for those who want to wear work shirts stylishly or who appreciate serious craftsmanship.
