Today, we're featuring one of JELADO's classic

three major Leather Jackets:

the "Rebel Jacket."

JELADO Rebel Jacket Horse Hide Semi Aniline Finish Black with Epaulettes 【SG83420】

The leather is about 1.6mm thick horsehide.

It's a combination tan (chrome & tannin).

What is combination tanning?

JELADO's "Rebel Jacket" is

tannin-tanned after chrome tanning.

Chrome tanning and tannin tanning...

When performing combination tanning, which combines these two types,

the finish is more textured than leather that has only been chrome-tanned.

By performing tannin tanning in a shorter time than it would normally take,

we have prepared leather that has a moderate sense of weight

and allows you to enjoy the aging process with repeated wear.

The base is dyed light brown,

then dyed black with a tea core at a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo

using a process called "okazome" (dyeing by hand from the top).

This is then colored with a semi-aniline finish,

mixing pigment and dye in equal parts.

It offers a softness not found in 100% pigment finishes,

and as mentioned above,

with repeated wear, the underlying

tea-core leather will subtly reveal itself.

"Montgomery Ward"

And a brand under Montgomery Ward...

is "Wind Word".

The items released by this brand

that have "two star studs on the epaulets" are called "Two-Star".

The Rebel Jacket is based on this pattern of rider's jacket.

There are two types of JELADO's Rebel Jacket:

one with epaulets and one without.

The one featured at this time is

the one "with epaulets," which is a double rider's jacket with padding.

It offers excellent heat retention and allows you to enjoy

significant aging, so please come and try it on in store.

This is a product that pursues the realism of vintage, and the cinch back, which is often actually cut,
