〜Highlander Vest〜
Good evening. This is Uemura from WEST.
Today's blog features the WEST staff's
Highlander Vest coordination.
The 2 Monkeys Highlander Vest【TM11552】
Yamamoto is wearing Caramel.
He is wearing 301XX denim.
It's Yamamoto's signature coordination
using classic denim,
but by incorporating a shirt,
he successfully adopted a French Mix Style.
The shirt is from The 2Monkeys.
The 2 Monkeys Linen Cambrai Shirt【TM11150】
he is wearing.
This shirt is also popular at JELADO WEST.
It's made of thin 100% linen,
but it's tightly woven.
Plus, it's lightweight, so you can wear it until autumn.
Highly recommended.
While the upper body presents a sharp
style, the aged denim he paired it with
adds a touch of casualness,
creating a more atmospheric look.
I definitely want all of you
to try it out.
I wore Walnut.
This Highlander Vest
JELADO Hoghead Wabash Trousers【AG02307】
It pairs excellently with anything, so
I personally wear it "on heavy rotation."
It's very versatile and highly recommended.
Like Yamamoto, I'm also wearing
the "Linen Cambrai Shirt",
but the one I'm wearing is
from the previous model, which is now sold out.
The boots are also from The 2Monkeys,
The 2 Monkeys ELASTOS【TM01945】
I'm wearing these.
Adorned with brogueing and stitching.
The V-shaped elastic on both sides,
and the center seam create a curved instep
style.
And the charm of this "Victorian Blue"
color.
They're so comfortable that I want everyone
to try them on.
This time, we introduced two styles
of the Highlander Vest.
It's very versatile, and by adding it to your usual outfit,
it creates a great accent, so
please give it a try.
~Information on Pre-order Items~
Allow me to introduce the following items, which are now available for pre-order.
【Pre-order Item, Arriving in June】JELADO Rebel Jacket Horse Hide Semi Aniline Finish Black【SG71428】
The Rebel Jacket is a
rider's jacket that has been a long-standing staple at JELADO.
To make it a simple rider's jacket,
we removed the epaulets.
Furthermore, by using cupro instead of quilting,
it's easier to put on and take off,
making it a comfortable piece to wear.
Made of 1.6mm thick leather with a semi-aniline finish,
it offers a softness not found in 100% pigmented leather, and because it's "tea-core leather,"
you can enjoy its aging process with repeated wear.
There's one more item available for pre-order.
This is also a very popular item,
and when it was released previously, it sold out very quickly,
with sizes disappearing in an instant.
【Pre-order Item, Arriving in June】JELADO CM47 HBT Baker Pants【CT03347】
These are baker pants made from "herringbone twill" fabric, adopted in 1947.
※ What is Herringbone?
"Herringbone" =
"herring (fish)" and "bone"
The pattern resembles the bones visible when a herring fish is filleted,
which is where its name comes from.
Baker pants were worn on the battlefield,
but they were also worn during administrative work.
It's also said that they were worn by bakers, which is how they got the name "Baker Pants."
Since they are made of herringbone twill fabric,
they are thick and durable.
Additionally, because they are 100% cotton, you can enjoy their aging process through repeated wear.
We have also been accepting pre-orders for this item for some time,
and it was a popular item at the 2025SS preview.
【Pre-order Item, Arriving Early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】
The USMC M44 Monkey Pants are
pants issued to the Marine Corps, and they are
a popular item in the vintage industry
under the nickname "Monkey Pants."
The origin of that name is here...
Large, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.
These large pockets were designed
to hold ponchos, and the flaps were added
to prevent the contents from falling out.
Because these pockets resemble a monkey's buttocks,
they are called "Monkey Pants."
The production period of the M44 was actually
very short, lasting "one year and three months,"
from July 1944 to around October 1945.
Also, because they were issued to the "elite few"
of the US Marine Corps, the overall production quantity was low,
leading to quite high prices in the vintage market.
The period during which the US Marine Corps
actually wore them was...
・Battle of Iwo Jima (February 19 - March 26, 1945)
・Around the Battle of Okinawa (March 26 - September 7, 1945).
Also, after World War II,
・Korean War (June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953)
It seems they were worn extensively during these times.
JELADO's Monkey Pants use herringbone fabric.
Furthermore, they are dyed with vat dye.
And the buttons are donut buttons,
which also creates a vintage feel.
By wearing them frequently, you can enjoy the aging process.
Half-length coats with native patterns or
leather jackets... and even
coveralls, pair very well, and
I also recommend pairing them with chambray shirts.
Please pre-order at the store or online.
Thank you.
Reservations are now open for popular items.
We look forward to receiving your reservations.
Thank you in advance.
