Yes, it's the Chimayo pattern rug vest.
Tatanka Vest【CB23526】
It can be said for the vintage market in general that black items are very rarely seen.
Native rugs, in particular, often featured colorful designs, making black-based pieces exceptionally rare.
Therefore, we reproduced the fabric from a rare black-based Chimayo pattern jacket we own. This time, we tailored that fabric into a vest.
It was woven using a rare pattern jacquard loom, of which only one still exists, in the Bishu region of Aichi Prefecture, known for its wool production.
The material composition is 81% wool, 11% cotton, and 9% nylon. The warp threads are made of 30/2 count combed cotton yarn, and by selecting heavy cotton, a firm handfeel is achieved. For the weft threads, wool blended with merino and twisted with nylon is used, balancing strength and flexibility. Furthermore, by adopting a four-layer weave structure with four weft layers, a profound expression is realized.
The finished fabric is processed with resin.By giving the yarn firmness and resilience, it achieves both a three-dimensional feel and stability as a vest.
Just by layering it over a Western shirt or chambray shirt, it creates an outstanding impact. It's also perfect over a denim jacket.
The Chimayo vest is packed with JELADO's dedication. It just arrived today, but some sizes are already sold out. Please consider it early.
