The 2 Monkeys Archaic Norfolk Jacket【TM03432】

 

 

 

We have received a Norfolk jacket made of moleskin.

 

The Norfolk jacket is one of the most distinctly British items in traditional style.

It's a garment that brings to mind images of an old gentleman having one tailored at a long-established tailor, but among its very early versions, there were forms entirely different from the traditional style we know.

 

Perhaps for practical use during hunting, its original purpose, some featured a wide body, thick sleeves cinched with cuffs, and action pleats.

 

 

 

 

 

The Archaic Norfolk Jacket is based on one of those very early Norfolk jackets, but we changed the material to thick moleskin, altered the shape of the box pleats, and gave it a French-inspired finish.

 

 

 

 

 

This jacket offers a completely new style that can be paired with standard American casual items like chinos and denim.

 

 

You can also wear it as a set-up with trousers made of the same material.

If you want to create a strong impression, this combination is highly recommended.

We would like to introduce the following items that are now available for pre-order.

【Pre-order Item, Arriving June】JELADO Rebel Jacket Horse Hide Semi Aniline Finish Black【SG71428】

The Rebel Jacket

is a long-standing standard rider's jacket

from JELADO.

To make it a simple rider's jacket,

we eliminated the epaulets.

Furthermore, instead of quilting,

we used cupra to make it easier to put on and take off,

pursuing a comfortable fit.

Made from 1.6mm thick leather with a semi-aniline finish, it offers a softness not found in 100% pigment-finished leather. Since it's 'brown core leather,' you can enjoy its aging process with repeated wear.

There's one more item available for pre-order.

This is also a very popular product,

and when it was previously released, it sold out quickly,

with sizes becoming unavailable in an instant.

【Pre-order Item, Arriving June】JELADO CM47 HBT Baker Pants【CT03347】

These are baker pants made from "herringbone twill" fabric, adopted in 1947.

※ What is herringbone?

"Herringbone" =

"herring (fish)" and "bone"

Its name comes from the pattern resembling the bones of a herring fillet.

Baker pants were worn on the battlefield and also during office work.

It is also said that the name 'Baker Pants' originated because bakers wore them.

As it is herringbone twill fabric,

it is thick and durable.

Furthermore, since it is 100% cotton, you can enjoy its aging process with repeated wear.

This item has been available for pre-order for a while now,

and it was a popular item at the 2025SS preview.

【Pre-order Item, Arriving Early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】

When it comes to USMC M44 Monkey Pants,

these were pants issued to the Marines, and are a popular item in the vintage industry, affectionately known as "Monkey Pants."

The origin of their name is as follows:

Large, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.

These large pockets were adopted for carrying a "poncho,"

and the reason for the flaps was to prevent contents from falling out.

These pockets resembled a monkey's buttocks, which is why they were called "Monkey Pants."

The M44 was manufactured for a very short period, just "1 year and 3 months," from July 1944 to around October 1945.

Furthermore, because they were issued to the "elite few" of the U.S. Marine Corps,

the total production volume was small, making them quite valuable in the vintage market.

The periods when the U.S. Marine Corps actually wore them include:

・Battle of Iwo Jima (Feb. 19 – Mar. 26, 1945)

・Around the Battle of Okinawa (Mar. 26 – Sep. 7, 1945).

Also, after World War II,

・Korean War (Jun. 25, 1950 – Jul. 27, 1953)

It seems they were frequently worn during these periods.

Jelado's Monkey Pants use herringbone material,

and are further dyed with vat dye.

The buttons are doughnut buttons, which also enhance the vintage feel.

You can enjoy the aging process by wearing them thoroughly.

Native pattern half-length coats, or

Leather jackets… and even

They pair very well with coveralls, and

I also recommend pairing them with chambray shirts.
