Today, we would like to introduce The 2 Monkeys' popular boots.

The 2 Monkeys VAUDEVILLE【TM83933】

These are the Vaudeville, The 2 Monkeys' classic boots.

Vaudeville refers to the theatrical entertainment that was popular in America before the widespread adoption of cinema.

During its heyday from the 1880s to the 1920s, major cities like New York had numerous vaudeville theaters that were bustling with activity.

The content was diverse, including singing, dancing, comedy, magic, and more.

Many early silent film stars such as Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Laurel & Hardy, and the Marx Brothers came from vaudeville backgrounds.

They traveled from theater to theater.

Vaudeville boots were created with the image of these vaudeville actors, who were also traveling performers.

(These are not a reproduction of a specific vintage boot)

Therefore, they were inspired by American and French boots from around 1910.

These are cap-toe external blucher boots with a high toe, also known as a bulldog toe, and a quarter that is sewn together from two separate pieces.

We combined an original last with a slightly oblique toe, a smaller cap, a larger quarter, a lower height, and a smaller heel to achieve the appearance of boots from that era.

We combined two manufacturing methods to create a tightly-cinched waist, reproducing the elegant silhouette of boots from that period.

Inspired by actors who often put on a show, the toe has a unique shape with a distinct line.

The leather is smooth horsehide (horse front) with a natural grain.

Since this leather is not heavily "finished," it may develop natural wrinkles and scratches as you wear it, but these characteristics allow you to fully appreciate the distinctive qualities of horsehide.

The soft leather provides an exceptional fit. Like The 2 Monkeys' other classic boots, "SPORTIF," these boots are surprisingly lightweight and agile.

Available in Black and Oak Brown.

The black features a brown core that ages beautifully,

while the oak brown has a deep, nuanced color, and you can enjoy the aging process as the black dye used in the finish fades.
