Today, we'd like to introduce a jacket that can be worn as a set with our very popular Baker Pants.

 

JELADO CM43 HBT Field Jacket【CT03443】

 

 

 

This is an M-43 type Field Jacket.

It is made from the same herringbone twill as the original.

The M-43 was developed and officially adopted in 1941 at the request of President Roosevelt to improve the image of the military among young people and increase enlistment.

Some soldiers reportedly found the old blue denim uniforms to be of poor quality and uncomfortable to wear.

Therefore, HBT (herringbone twill) fabric, which had been adopted by the Air Force since 1939, was used.

This new uniform was initially intended for training and fatigue duties, but was later also used as combat uniform in tropical climates.

Due to its excellent practicality and reputation, production continued, and a total of five specification changes were made to add new size variations, simplify production, and improve convenience.

Approximately one year before the Normandy landings (D-Day) on March 12, 1943, the U.S. military, concerned about the use of poison gas during the landing operation, formulated and produced the "D-type" specifications, known as "M-43," in the fourth specification change.

The fabric uses a robust herringbone twill, available in two colors.

 

The herringbone is a durable fabric with distinct ridges created by varying the twist of the yarn. It is also dyed with vat dye, which allows the color to fade with wear and washing, providing a vintage-like aging effect.

Instead of 13-star buttons, iron laurel buttons are used, and the domed button shanks add to the overall aesthetic.

Furthermore, by omitting the gas flap, the jacket maintains a neat appearance even when worn unbuttoned.

Since the fabric is vat-dyed, it will fade with each wear and wash, allowing you to enjoy a beautiful aging process.

 

Many people probably can't go without a jacket even now, feeling cold on trains or indoors.

This item is compact enough to fit in your bag and is easy to carry around.

It will also be very useful in early autumn, so please consider it as soon as possible while your size is still available.
