Thank you for always visiting us.
Today, we would like to introduce an item from our ever-popular T-shirt series.
USMC Loopwheel Tee【AG94243】

Introducing the USMC Loopwheel Tee.
This year, it's available in three colors: the classic unbleached vanilla, the very popular marine green from last year, and a new black color.

This T-shirt perfectly replicates the sewing specifications based on "U.S.M.C" COTTON T-SHIRTS from the 1940s.
It is knitted with 14/- cotton open-end yarn, using both tubular and loopwheel knitting methods for the jersey fabric.

This fabric is made using a loopwheel knitting machine in Wakayama, which allows for free adjustment of the texture, not just the yarn count and needle gauge.
Unlike modern high-speed knitting machines, the loopwheel knitting machine in Wakayama can infinitely vary the yarn tension to create the desired texture.
This fabric has a thick finish with slightly increased density, just enough to not kill the yarn tension.
Basic sewing threads are cotton, while the decorative stitching on the back of the collar (surface swing thread) uses silk thread for strength and stretch.

Three types of sewing machines are used. First, a FLATLOCK machine is used for the seaming (shoulder seams, sleeve seams).
This stitch is a fundamental flat seam for underwear tees that has existed since the early 20th century and was standard until the 1960s.
The FLATLOCK stitch creates a more defined seam than the U.S. flat seamer, but due to the rarity of existing machines, it results in special stitching.

Next, a UNIONSPECIAL 52800 two-needle double-folded binder machine (collar binding) is used.
This machine, introduced in the late 1930s, is a semi-automatic high-speed machine that was made faster by reducing vibration.
The stitch is a two-needle double-folded decorative stitch, commonly found in underwear, where the decorative stitching of the self-fabric (jersey) folded binder is on the reverse side, showing on the outside.

This sewing method reduces the thickness of the collar and mitigates skin irritation and thread breakage. Finally, a UNIONSPECIAL G76000 machine is used for the hemstitch.
This machine has existed since the era of wool shirts, and its characteristic hemstitch is seen in vintage T-shirts.

Although these vintage sewing machines result in lower production efficiency, this T-shirt is a special item with exceptional comfort.
It's so popular that some sizes are already starting to run out.
Please consider it soon.
