This time, I'll also be weaving in some vintage talk,

so it will be a long read, but please do take a look.

 

The Age of Longing 407EXX, for which pre-orders have now begun,

is based on the 40s LEVI'S 506XX, as you all probably know.

The history of the 1st model is long, and according to the资料 I have,

the 506XX already existed in 1904, making it a model that has existed for 120 years.

 

On July 1, 1937, the 506XX was fitted with the red tab, which is now taken for granted, thanks to Chris Lucia's idea.

 

Time passed, and then World War II began...

 

During this era, when changes in details were unavoidable due to material controls, LEVI'S also faced this problem.

 

The previous 5-button design changed to 4 buttons,

and the company name buttons were replaced with laurel wreath buttons.

The model that had its chest pocket flap removed was the

"LEVI'S S506XX",

which is the very popular "War Model",

and JELADO released it as a leather jacket

 

 

under the name "44 Leather Jacket".

Then, after the war, material controls were lifted, so

LEVI'S was in the process of reverting to its original details, but

a new problem arose here.

 

That was, the factory had a large amount of fabric

that was used for the War Model.

I imagine it was due to cost considerations,

but after using up this fabric without discarding it,

it entered a transitional period where it would switch to new denim.

 

JELADO's Age of Longing 407EXX focuses on the LEVI'S 506XX from this transitional period,

 

 

it features a denim with a strong black hue.

It's a fabric with a neppy texture and strong irregularities.

 

 

Through repeated wear, it will age beautifully,

developing random vertical fading, like rainfall.

 

The 1st type 407EXX features 15 oz thick, black-hued denim, and its distinguishing details include:

 

・Single pocket on the left side only

・Single-sided red tab

 

・Slim waistband (compared to 406XX)

・Cinch back with prongs

・15 oz

 

Above the waistband on the back is a cinch back,

which is used to adjust the size.

 

Since pre-orders for the popular item have finally begun,

please try it on at the store and make a reservation after confirming the fit.
