Today, we're excited to announce the arrival of an item from The 2 Monkeys that is not only an iconic piece for the brand but also arguably the highlight of this season.

 

The 2 Monkeys French Work Blouse [TM11451]

 

 

 

 

The French work blouse, a staple item from The 2 Monkeys, has been crafted from soft cotton-linen fabric with slubs and a fuzzy texture.

 

 

The design is inspired by work blouses seen in photographs taken in France, likely in the late 19th century (1850-1900).

 

It's an interesting jacket with details that suggest it may have influenced, or been influenced by, the very early development of denim jackets.

Perhaps it's even the root of the denim jacket.

 

 

Its charm also lies in its ability to be effortlessly coordinated with denim and chinos, while still maintaining a distinct French ambiance.

 

 

The unique silhouette, cinched at the collar and hem with a generous width of fabric, and the pintucks on the front body, all contribute to its distinctive design.
