JELADO Mechanic Shirt JP02106A Price ¥20,900 JPY

 

The MECHANIC SHIRTS, which have been available since last year, differ from regular work shirts. The design is based on a chambray shirt with a facing from the "OX-HIDE" brand from the 1950s.
Unlike regular work shirts, they don't have a placket, giving them a slightly open-collar shirt vibe.
The fabric is JELADO's ultimate twisted chambray fabric, which has been available since last year.

This fabric meticulously reproduces the characteristics of vintage Big Yank shirts from the 30s and 40s collected by JELADO, by deconstructing them to analyze yarn count, thread density, slub yarn shape, and twist condition.

Since it is dyed with sulfur dyes, you can enjoy the unique aging that is characteristic of vintage items.
The other color is made from a white-dominant mottled yarn fabric, created by using black and white mottled yarn for the warp and white yarn for the weft.
Because a power loom is used, you can feel the texture of the 30s and 40s.
By using cotton thread for sewing, when washed and tumble-dried, the threads shrink, creating puckering on the shoulder and arm areas, which is a desirable aging effect.
The MECHANIC SHIRTS are special items that pursue classic design and vintage texture.
