They are made from a blended cotton of Brazilian and American cotton,

known for its stiffness and high strength.

While fewer factories can knit a wide range of sizes,

these were knitted by a highly adaptable knitter in Wakayama

and then dyed at a factory in Osaka.

Shoes from Nara: KOTOKA

 

“Nara Hatsukutsu” (Nara-origin Shoes) is a project

launched jointly by seven shoe manufacturers in Nara.

 

KOTOKA was born from this project.

KOTOKA One-Piece Derby Men's Tochigi Leather Camel【KTO-2000】

 

 

They produce natural leather

tanned using traditional methods

with 100% vegetable tannins.

 

Depending on the finishing process after tanning,

the leather can have various colors, textures,

and suppleness.

The one-piece Derby shoes introduced this time use leather

that has been thoroughly kneaded and infused with oil,

resulting in a soft finish.

KOTOKA One-Piece Derby Men's Tatsuno Hand-Waxed Leather Burgundy【KTO-2002】

 

This leather undergoes a process where wax is applied

and infused using a hand iron 3 to 4 times,

taking into account the temperature and leather properties.

It results in a moist luster and color shading,

and as you wear it, it undergoes an aging process

that reveals new expressions, making it a very attractive leather.

 

The gentle, enveloping fit,

stress-free lightness,

and unlined construction allow it to conform

to the wearer's foot, making it easily adaptable.
