What is Vintage?

Good evening…

Today, what is "Vintage"?

I would like to talk about this.

What is Vintage?

(30s LEVI'S 213)

(50s LEVI'S 517XX/blanket removed)

Such easy-to-understand items are called Vintage.

This question is quite difficult.

The reason is that it varies from person to person.

In the case of my favorite category, sweatshirts

The 80s is considered Vintage.

However, not everything fits that description.

Well-known brands like Champion

That's the category it is in.

Speaking of denim,

Many people wear Levi's 501s.

I drew a line so if you refer to it,

66 models... this is all

It is said to be Vintage, and since then

It will be classified as a regular.

*What is LEVI'S 501?

In the 1890s, Lot No.

It became a model attached

Currently, this model has a Lot No.

Button fly (front fly)

Only 501 is available.

Details vary by era

It may be different, so even just 501

It's quite deep!!

This time, the main focus is not on the items.

Only use the images you need.

 (66 models/1972-1978)

The back pocket has a "Flasher"

A paper label is included.

The fact that it has not been removed

That means it's not being worn.

Also, "I'm not wearing it"

= Water is not passing through the fabric

=This means it is dead stock.

Also, the image is cut off.

It is also faintly visible in the first image of the flasher.

Under the flasher is a quality guarantee

A "guarantee ticket" is included.

*What is a "Guarantee Ticket"?

As mentioned above, this refers to the quality assurance certificate.

This guarantee ticket is

It has been there since 1892, but at the time

It appears to have been printed on the pocket lining.

From there, it changed to oil cloth and paper.

The current model has gone back to printing on the lining.

(Excluding LVC)

On the back of the top button of the button fly

If there is a 6 stamped with an underscore underneath

It can be identified as a 66 model, and there are early and late versions of this model.

Early period (coin and back pockets with single lining),

There is a later version (above is chain stitch)

This model is called the last Vintage.

This is the border between regular used clothing.

Vintage also depends on the category.

There seems to be some discrepancy

Up until around 1980 as Vintage

Maybe they're tying it up.

This time, we will look at the broad term "Vintage".

We would like to write about it in our own words.

"Flasher" and "Guarantee Ticket"

We explained it together, but...

JELADO is a brand that produces products based on vintage items.

We also carry denim.

To analyze XX fabrics from the 50s

Cutting the deadstock denim from that time with scissors

It was scientifically analyzed and found to be extremely similar to XX fabric.

We created our original fabric, LAST RESORT denim, from scratch.
