We have produced the Westcoast Shirt, a no-flap type that has recently become a standard, using a special fabric!

This time we used native jacquard fabric, which was developed in collaboration with a fabric store.

It was made using vintage fabric found at an antique market in France.
The material is 100% cotton, the ground part uses 40/2 carded warp yarn and 10/-carded weft yarn, while the native pattern part of the warp uses 60/2 combed yarn.

Native American patterns are reproduced using a two-beam jacquard loom.
By weaving warp threads of two different thicknesses, the fabric has a bumpy texture and a three-dimensional feel, giving it an impressive looking appearance.

There are very few two-beam jacquard looms, and the number of metres that can be woven per day is also limited, making them very expensive and valuable.
The yarn is dyed using a method called homogeneous elimination dyeing.

This type of dyeing process, called homogenous elimination dyeing, is similar to the way in which indigo-dyed denim fades, but the color fades gradually without changing.
By repeatedly wearing and washing it, it will age and give off a more vintage feel.
