This time, we will introduce a coordination
based on wide wale corduroy pants.
First up is this:
(Cardigan)
JELADO Versatile Ash【AG63824】
This is based on a 1940s work cardigan.
It's a high-gauge knit cardigan made from merino wool.
To retain the rough texture similar to vintage pieces,
it's knitted with many threads, creating a dense fabric
even though it's thin.
*High-gauge knit refers to densely knitted fabric with fine stitches.
As you can see in the image below, because it's high-gauge,
the texture of the fabric isn't very prominent.
Furthermore, to maintain the authentic feel,
carved nut buttons are used.
I'm not sure if anyone pays attention to the pockets,
but just like vintage pieces,
the pocket opening is horizontally knitted.

JELADO Vannes Trousers Corduroy【BL73310】
These are wide wale corduroy pants.
They are based on French workwear from the 1940s.
While the silhouette is wide,
it tapers towards the hem,
giving these corduroy pants the width of work pants
but a clean look around the ankles.
The hammer pocket on the back of the right leg
is also replicated.
*Regarding wales:
The more wales there are within a 1-inch (2.5 cm) width,
the finer the wales become.
The number of wales is called "wale count."
This product has 6 wales, which is generally considered wide wale.
3-6 wales → Wide wale
7-16 wales → Medium wale
17-32 wales → Fine wale
