In LEVI'S, the red tab, which is as popular as the arcuate stitch and
is said to have been attached since September 1, 1936...

You've probably heard the term "BIG E" before, but what is BIG E?
It refers to LEVI'S tags where the "E" on the red tab is capitalized.
Red tabs attached to items manufactured between 1936 and 1971
are BIG E tabs.
After that, they became "small e."
Recently, denim sold by LEVI'S (excluding LVC) has a "LEVI'S premium" line,
and those products have BIG E.
There are three types of "BIG E" tags.
This means you can generally determine the age of the item just by looking at the red tab.
[Single-sided Tab]
This red tab was used from 1936 to 1953 and is referred to as "single-sided" by Levi's enthusiasts.
[Double-sided, Even V]
This tab was used from 1953 to 1966. The way to differentiate the era is that since it's a double-sided tab, it's from 1953 or later. The next point to look at for differentiation is the "V" in LEVI'S.
If you compare it with the next image, you'll see that the V is a clean V, which is called an even V.

This was used from 1966 to 1971.
If you pay attention to the letter "V", you can see the difference.
And in 1971, when the company went public, the red tab's "LEVI'S" changed to "Levi's," leading to the birth of the small "e."
