There might be something that makes you think, "Hmm?"
You might notice it when you look at it.
There are no belt loops, are there?
Instead of having belt loops like today,
501XX from this era came with
suspender buttons.
At the time, they weren't categorized as fashion items as they are now,
but were sold as workwear.
So, the culture of attaching suspenders to the suspender buttons
and wearing them as overalls continued.
The 501XX from this period are called
Waist Overalls.
The Guarantee Ticket appeared in 1892, but before that,
it was printed on the pocket lining like this.
It states that pants reinforced with rivets
were made using Amoskeag's XX fabric for 17 years.

The selvedge was white during this era, not red.
The back features a single back pocket on the right side
and a cinch back to tighten the waist.
What's particularly noteworthy in this back image is
the arcuate stitching.
This arcuate stitching, which has existed since 1873,
was trademarked in 1943 because many other companies imitated it.
The bow-shaped stitching appears on the back pocket.
This stitching is also called gull-wing stitching!
Also, personally, the fading unique to Amoskeag is a highlight,
and because of its low colorfastness, the intense fading is one of its charms.
You can clearly see the whiskers and honeycombs.
Given its rarity, it's better to categorize it as a "super vintage" rather than just "vintage."
By the way, wasn't this model recently at an auction?
It was auctioned for $76,000.
Even at $1 = 140 yen, that's 10.64 million yen...
That's incredible!
