～Levi's 501 66 model～
I'm sure many people will like this one.
I'd like to focus on the 66 model, but first...
For those who think that the 66 model is from 1966...
That's wrong!!
It's easy to say the answer, but
I hope you'll learn a little bit here.
First, 1971 was the year of the IPO.
We are pleased to announce that the wording on the red tab has been changed from LEVI'S to Levi's.
The big E ends and turns into a small e.
And then from around 1972 to 1978...
The 501s sold around this time came to be called 66 models.
So why is it called the 66 model? Let's dig deeper into this.

You can see that it says ©1966.
This is what makes people mistakenly think it was made in 66.
The way to tell if it's 66 is by the engraving on the back of the top button...
If it is 6, it becomes a 66 model.
And…there are early and late models of the 66 model.
The coin pocket and back pocket are the ways to tell...
The top is the early 66 model and the bottom is the late 66 model.
If the stitching is single, it is 66 early period
If it's chain stitched, it's a late 66 model.
I think this is the most commonly used method for determining
