Today, from our vintage collection, I'd like to introduce
this sweatshirt.
50s U.S. OLYMPIC DRINKING TEAM SWEAT SHIRTS
This is a "front V" sweatshirt, featuring a V-shaped sweat-stop
gusset on the front.
The print is a discharge print.
The neck and hem ribs are double-stitched,
while the shoulders and sleeves are constructed with four-needle flatlock seams.
At first glance, one might assume it's an Olympic team print,
but if you look closely, you'll see "U.S. OLYMPIC" and "DRINKING TEAM."
These two prints mean:
An American "drinking club."
This sweatshirt, which includes such parody elements,
has some thinning fabric and stains, so
the price is modest.
