I will provide an explanation again for those who are seeing it for the first time.

This is the "LASTRESORT DENIM," a wild, vintage-feeling denim that has become JELADO's finest masterpiece.

This is JELADO's first 1ST TYPE denim jacket, featuring a black tag.
This season, we've reproduced the 1ST model, which was first made with the white tag and ecru fabric, by changing the fabric and using the black tag indigo.
The black tag of LASTRESORT DENIM is sewn inside the pocket. This is a special 15oz denim created with a new approach different from the white tag, reproduced from denim that was dismantled and analyzed from DEADSTOCK XX.
The distinguishing features of the 1st type, such as one-pocket with flap, single-sided tab, five buttons, inward cuff buttons, and a cinch-back, are all faithfully reproduced.
When distinguishing between the early and late 1st type, the early type had a needle-pricked buckle and the box stitching securing the pleats was misaligned with the buttons. We have reproduced this with misaligned button and stitch heights, and the cinch-back also reproduces the early needle-pricked type.
Since the black tag was created as a fabric from the pre-1940s, it takes a similar approach to that era.
Compared to the 2nd Type, the collar attachment is wider apart, and the sleeve attachment forms a T-shape when laid flat. We have incorporated these features to an extent that makes it comfortable to wear.
Similar to the vintage items we own, the lapped seams are sewn with #20 thread and the main seams with #30 thread.
The leather patch is made of horsehide, the single-sided embroidered rayon tab, plated original iron buttons, and solid copper original rivets are all meticulously crafted.
Due to production specifications, sizes L and above, where the fabric width is insufficient, will have a T-back specification.

～LASTRESORT BLACK TAG～
We dismantled actual DEADSTOCK jeans, and at a certain analysis institution, we precisely matched the length of the cotton fibers, the thickness and twist count of the threads, and even the number of warp and weft threads per inch, based on data from two DEADSTOCK pieces from similar eras. We selected the raw cotton according to these specifications, spun the yarn, and wove the fabric on a 1950s loom with the same thread count, resulting in this ultimate denim.
By creating this denim, we gained a deep understanding of the characteristics of XX denim from that time, including the quality of the yarn and the texture of the fabric, and the differences from modern denim.
Within the mission of reproducing XX, one distinct process we intentionally didn't touch on before was "color."
To reproduce the vintage-like color and the texture and hue of denim woven under conditions where spinning technology was less developed and yarn quality was poorer than today, we created the LASTRESORT black tag.
We used the same raw cotton for the warp and weft as the white tag (EMOT for warp, California Pima for weft) to create the yarn, but for the warp, we intentionally engineered it to have more slub to create a stronger unevenness.
This denim jacket is made with carefully selected materials.
By adding strong slub, vertical fading can be prolonged.
Looking at the vintage items we targeted, the dullness of the weft's color was noticeable. The color of the cotton at the time appeared more like yellowish ecru than pure white.
We decided to create the yarn by matching this depth of color, then dye it, and then weave the fabric.
By changing the dyeing factory from the white tag, it has become a completely different color.
The rope height and dyeing process differ depending on the dyeing factory, so the color expression also changes.
Due to these differences in processes, the white tag became 14oz and the black tag became 15oz, resulting in a change in fabric weight.
And by intentionally dyeing it deeply 8 times, it finished as a darker, deeper blue denim. We decided to use this denim, with its deep color and wild, slubby texture, as the "LASTRESORT DENIM black tag" model, seeking a more heritage feel.
While it has a wilder appearance and fabric touch, after just two days of wear, it transforms into the soft comfort of the white tag, becoming smooth and easy to wear without stress.

I have been wearing them since April 2023, so it's been about a year.

The color is gradually fading.

In my case, I have hand-washed them about 3 times.

I have not washed them in a washing machine.

I am wearing them about 2 inches up from my usual size.

The denim has a straight silhouette that is not too wide, with an exquisite width.

The fabric is getting softer, so I think they will be a pair you can wear for a long time.

KONABAY HAWAII's Aloha shirt "Big Wednesday Hibiscus".

The material is Japanese-made 100% rayon fujiette fabric, sewn in Hawaii, making it an authentic Made in Hawaii Aloha shirt.
It uses a plain weave fabric with filament rayon yarn for the warp and spun rayon yarn for the weft. The fabric has a unique drape characteristic of fujiette.
Discharge printing is applied to this fabric, and the buttons are oyster shell buttons.
The "Big Wednesday Hibiscus" is the Aloha shirt worn by William Katt in the 1978 movie "Big Wednesday."

This Aloha shirt, which I had wanted for over 30 years but couldn't find in over five Vintage Aloha books, has finally been acquired and reissued as this product.

With its Hawaiian-inspired Aloha shirt pattern, it is a versatile piece that can be worn by both men and women.

This is a piece based on a vintage design. I hope you enjoy the pattern as you wear it.

It can also be enjoyed when worn as an inner layer under a denim jacket.
