I imagine some of you are seeing this for the first time, so let me explain again.
"LAST RESORT DENIM" is JELADO's masterpiece, a wild denim with a strong vintage feel.
This is JELADO's first 1ST TYPE denim jacket, using a black tag.
Changing the fabric from the 1ST model produced for the first time this season with an off-white tag, this is a reproduction in black tag indigo.
The black tag of LAST RESORT DENIM is sewn on the inside of the pocket, and it is a special 15oz denim created with a new approach different from the white tag, reproduced from denim analyzed by deconstructing DEADSTOCK XX.
The distinctive features of the 1st type, such as the one-pocket flap, single-sided tab, five buttons, inner cuff buttons, and back strap, are faithfully reproduced.
When dividing this 1st type into early and late periods, the early period had a pin-buckle back and the box stitching that secures the pleats was at a different height than the buttons. This model reproduces the early period with different button and stitch heights and a pin-buckle back strap.
Since the black tag was created for fabric from before the 1940s, the approach is similar to that era.
Compared to the 2nd Type, the collar attachment is spaced apart on the left and right, and the sleeve attachment forms a T-shape when laid flat. These details were followed to a comfortable degree for wear.
Similar to our vintage items, the felling seams are made with #20 sewing thread and the main seams with #30 sewing thread.
The leather patch uses horsehide, the single-sided embroidered rayon tab, plated original iron buttons, and copper rivets are meticulously crafted.
Due to production specifications, sizes L and above, where fabric width is insufficient, will have a T-back specification.

~LAST RESORT BLACK TAG~
We disassembled DEAD STOCK from that era and, at a certain analysis institution, investigated the fiber length, thread thickness, twist count, and number of fabric picks. From data of two DEAD STOCK items from similar eras, we selected raw cotton that matched these figures, created thread, and wove it on a 1950s loom with the same pick count, resulting in this ultimate denim.
By creating this denim, we gained a deep understanding of the characteristics of XX denim from that time, the quality of the thread, and the feel of the fabric, as well as the differences from modern denim.
Among the missions to reproduce XX, if there's one clear process we haven't touched upon, it's the "color."
LAST RESORT Black Tag was created to reproduce the color and texture of denim woven under conditions where spinning technology was less developed and thread quality was poorer than today, in order to achieve a vintage-like color.
We used the same raw cotton for warp and weft as the white tag (warp: EMOT, weft: California Pima) to create the thread, but we manipulated the warp to make the nep stand out more, resulting in a stronger unevenness.
This G-jacket is also particular about its materials.
By strongly incorporating unevenness, we can achieve long vertical fading.
Looking at the vintage items we targeted, the dullness or prominence of the weft color was notable. The color of the cotton at the time looked more like yellowish ecru than white.
To match this depth of color, we decided to create the thread, then dye it, and finally weave the fabric.
By changing the dyeing factory from the white tag, the color has become completely different.
The height of the rope and the dyeing process also differ depending on the dyeing factory, so the color expression changes.
And due to these process differences, the white tag became 14oz and the black tag became 15oz, resulting in different fabric weights.
Furthermore, by daring to dye it deeply 8 times, it finished as a denim with a darker, deeper blue hue. This deep color and wild, uneven denim were chosen for the "LAST RESORT DENIM Black Tag" model, seeking a more heritage texture.
While it has a wilder appearance and fabric touch, after wearing it for about 2 days, it transforms into a smooth and comfortable fit, similar to the soft feel of the white tag, without any stress.
The denim stock at our direct stores is currently low.
If you were unable to purchase it or were considering it during the last restock, please try it now.

I am wearing size L.
I have been wearing it for about 4 months.
It is said that G-jackets age 4 times faster than denim, so please enjoy wearing it and breaking it in.
Thank you for reading to the end.
