【Blue Tag Arrival Info!!】A must-see for denim lovers!!

Good evening.

This is Komori from JELADO Ebisu store.

Thank you for visiting us today.

Tomorrow marks the second half of Golden Week, doesn't it?

Today, I'd like to introduce some upcoming arrivals.

First, let's start with this one.

【Pre-order item: Expected to arrive mid to late May】JELADO 391SB Overall【JP94391SB】Price: ¥46,200 (tax included)

The theme of our 2024SS COLLECTION is "SPROUT." In line with this theme, we have reproduced World War II-era overalls using 10.5oz light-ounce denim, which we've named "LASTRESORT Blue Tag," developed with great effort. This denim was created by disassembling a 1940s Lee coverall, analyzing its threads, and referring to the fading of existing vintage items to achieve a similar vertical fading effect. All accessories that came with deadstock House Mark overalls from the WWII era have also been reproduced, and great care has been taken in the design of everything from the name tags to the flasher. What was originally a paper flasher has been made from non-woven fabric, a material that won't tear even when washed, and the union ticket sewn into the pocket is also attached with a single stitch. The adjusters for the shoulder straps, the buttons for fastening the shoulder straps, and the waist buttons are also faithfully reproduced with laurel wreath iron buttons. The snap buttons for the bib pockets were also specially made from iron just to reproduce this model. The sewing thread is divided into white and black, with the front placket, shoulder straps, and hem sewn in black, giving it a more subdued and mature workwear impression than if it were all sewn in white. The silhouette is slightly wide to allow you to enjoy a comfortable workwear fit. As you wear them, the three different thicknesses of slub yarn will emerge, allowing you to enjoy random vertical fading.

I've never worn overalls before; they seem like an advanced fashion item to me.

So, I looked into the history of overalls.

Some of you might already know, but please take a look.

The history of overalls is old, dating back to the mid-1800s. It is said that the prototype of overalls, with a bib and suspenders attached to reduce dirt on the upper body, was created for miners looking to strike it rich by finding gold.

Until World War I, overalls were primarily worn by male laborers and also by children for ease of dressing. However, as the number of female laborers gradually increased, overalls began to be designed fashionably.

That's why, unlike jeans, they are worn by both men and women despite not being universally popular in shape.

Indeed, I have an image of small children wearing them.

Please try JELADO's authentic overalls.

It will also be a pleasure to see how they age over time.

We are currently accepting reservations, but if you are unsure about the size, please try them on at the Ebisu store after they arrive.

We have released "491-J" as a very special item. This item pays homage to "SPROUT," the vintage shop where I started 20 years ago. To open this shop, I saved money and went to America, gradually collecting items for the opening. Among them, I found a Lee House Mark coverall in my size, which I purchased and used as the basis for this collection. We analyzed the fabric and developed 10.5oz light-ounce "LASTRESORT DENIM."
This special denim is meticulously crafted in a way not seen in ordinary light-ounce denim, and the accompanying accessories were also designed to match this quality.
All items, such as the large swinging buttons, the small swinging buttons for the sleeves, and the snap buttons used for the chest pockets, were originally produced.
Similar to items from that era, we used gray and white sewing threads to create a more subdued and vintage atmosphere. We also reproduced the shape of the patch pockets on the front, mimicking Lee's unique style of sewing the pocket bottoms straight while leaving a little extra fabric.
As you wear it, the slub yarns woven with three different thicknesses of warp threads will emerge, allowing you to enjoy random vertical fading similar to vintage pieces. The weft threads are sulfur-dyed in light gray, providing a deeper color than regular light-ounce denim, allowing you to enjoy the difference in color when it fades. Additionally, a union ticket is sewn on the back of the right back pocket, reflecting our attention to detail.
The front buttons also feature dome-shaped shanks, further enhancing the vintage feel. We hope you will try this highest quality painter's pant, from its fabric and accessories to its stitching.

I also looked up the history of coveralls.

The origin of "coveralls" is said to date back to the 18th century, and they were widely used as "workwear" for many workers such as farmers, railroad workers, and miners.
Made from durable materials like denim and duck fabric, the longer length designed to protect against dirt and the numerous pockets on the front were revolutionary and highly functional workwear for the workers of that time.

Am I the only one who thinks coveralls look cool just by wearing them?

I think many vintage clothing enthusiasts own at least one.

They make a great outer layer for early spring and early autumn.

The complete reproduction of details is also one of the pleasures.

Since their arrival, they have been very popular, and some sizes are already sold out.

Please refer to the staff's wearing photos when considering your purchase. They can be worn with any bottom.

Finally, this one.

【Pre-order item: Expected to arrive mid to late May】JELADO 311W Painter Pants【JP94311W】Price ¥35,200 (tax included)

We have developed 10.5oz light-ounce denim, named LASTRESORT "blue tag," and faithfully reproduced 1940s painter pants.
This denim was created by disassembling a 1940s Lee coverall, analyzing its threads, and studying the characteristics of vintage fading. As a result, we produced denim with a similar vertical fading effect. Using this fabric, we reproduced 1940s House Mark painter pants.
We created a vintage-like atmosphere by leaving a little extra fabric at the center bottom of the pocket, a characteristic of Lee's work pants, and sewing it straight.
The warp threads are woven with slub yarns of three different thicknesses, allowing you to enjoy random vertical fading typical of that era. The weft threads are sulfur-dyed in light gray, providing a deeper color than regular light-ounce denim, allowing you to enjoy the difference in color when it fades. Furthermore, a union ticket is sewn on the back of the right back pocket, reflecting our attention to detail.
The front buttons also feature dome-shaped shanks, further enhancing the vintage feel. We hope you will try this highest quality painter's pant, from its fabric and accessories to its stitching.

I also looked into painter pants.

It is said that they originated in the late 1890s when a pocket for candles was added to the right hem for coal miners. Later, painters (carpenters) began to use the hem pocket to hold tools, leading to the name "painter pants." The wide silhouette became popular among young people in the 1950s and was worn as a fashion item.

There's no doubt that the wide silhouette looks great.

It's rare to start wearing dark-colored painter pants from scratch, so please take this opportunity to try them out.

It's nice that clothes have a history and consider functionality as well as fashion.

I think it's also fun to wear them with a modern twist.

JELADO's blue tag series is something to look forward to.

I'm also looking forward to their arrival.

I hope you'll try these items, which have a different taste from the white tag and black tag series.

These are scheduled to arrive in mid-May.

Please wait a little longer for their arrival.

Thank you for reading to the end today.
