~CEO Goto Appears on Machiroku CH & This Week's New Video is "CEO Goto's Steelbeam Coat Explanation Video"~ [WEST]

~JELADO Representative Goto appears on Machiroku CH~
Good evening. This is Uemura from WEST.
Today, I'd like to introduce this.

Yesterday at 6 PM, in a YouTube video released by Machiroku CH,

JELADO Representative Goto was featured.

He talked about JELADO's craftsmanship,
his passionate feelings for denim, and hisこだわり.

Because it's based on Vintage,
they capture the quirks of each individual piece and incorporate them into the design.

I hope that as many customers as possible
will learn about JELADO's LAST RESORT denim.

Please watch the YouTube video.

〜USMC M44 Monkey Pants〜

【Pre-order item, expected arrival early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】

USMC M44 Monkey Pants were issued to the Marines,

and are a popular item in the vintage industry

under the nickname "Monkey Pants."

The origin of the name is as follows...

Long, wide cargo pockets with flaps.

These large pockets were adopted to hold ponchos,

and the flaps were included to prevent contents from falling out.

These pockets resemble a monkey's buttocks,

which is why they are called "Monkey Pants."

The M44 was produced for a very short period,

only 1 year and 3 months, from July 1944 to October 1945.

Furthermore, because they were issued to the "elite few"

U.S. Marines, the overall production volume was low,

and they are now traded at quite high prices in the vintage market.

The period during which the U.S. Marines actually wore them was...

・Battle of Iwo Jima (February 19 - March 26, 1945)

・Around the Battle of Okinawa (March 26 - September 7, 1945).

Also, after World War II,

・Korean War (June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953)

It seems they were widely worn during these periods.

Jelado's Monkey Pants use herringbone material,

and are dyed with vat dyes.

And the buttons are donut buttons,

which also creates a vintage feel.

You can enjoy the aging process by wearing them thoroughly.

They go well with native pattern half-length coats,

leather jackets, and even

coveralls.

I also recommend pairing them with chambray shirts.

Please reserve in store or online.

Thank you.

~Regarding hemming brought in by customers~

At both JELADO stores, we accept hemming of "denim from other brands" if you bring them to the store.

However, as we have seen an increase in hemming requests for items purchased in-store or online,

we are currently not accepting "hemming of other brands brought in by customers." We apologize for any inconvenience.

・Hemming of "JELADO products purchased from our dealers" that you are wearing will be charged.

*We will continue to handle hemming of products purchased at JELADO stores as before.
