【Pre-order item, expected in June】JELADO Rebel Jacket Horse Hide Semi Aniline Finish Black【SG71428】

The Rebel Jacket is a

long-standing standard rider's jacket

from JELADO.

To make it a simple rider's jacket,

we eliminated the epaulets.

Furthermore, by using cupro instead of quilting,

it's easier to put on and take off,

making it a comfortable piece to wear.

Made from 1.6mm thick leather with a semi-aniline finish,

it offers a softness not found in 100% pigmented leather, and as it's "tea core leather,"

you can enjoy its aging process with repeated wear.

As an example of its aging, I've included photos of Minamikawa-san wearing his

Rebel Jacket, so please take a look

and use it as a reference for how it ages.

There's one more product available for pre-order.

This is another very popular item,

which sold out quickly last time it was released,

with sizes becoming unavailable in no time.

【Pre-order item, expected in June】JELADO CM47 HBT Baker Pants【CT03347】

These are baker pants made from "herringbone twill" fabric,

which was adopted in 1947.

※ What is herringbone?

"Herringbone" =

"herring (fish)" and "bone"

The pattern is derived from the way it resembles the bones of a herring when filleted.

Baker pants were worn on the battlefield,

but also during indoor work.

It's also said that the name "baker pants" comes from the fact that bakers used to wear them.

〜CEO Goto featured on Machiroku CH〜

On March 24th (Monday) at 6 PM, on Machiroku CH's YouTube channel,

JELADO's representative, Goto, was featured.

The 2025AW Collection Preview Exhibition

will finally start this weekend.

On March 29th (Sat) and 30th (Sun) at the Ebisu store,

and the following weekend, April 5th (Sat) and 6th (Sun) at WEST,

〜USMC M44 Monkey Pants〜

【Pre-order item, expected in early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】

When it comes to USMC M44 Monkey Pants,

these pants were issued to the Marine Corps,

and are a popular item in the vintage industry

known by their nickname "Monkey Pants."

The origin of that name is as follows...

Large, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.

These large pockets were designed

to hold a "poncho," and the reason for the flaps

was to prevent the contents from falling out.

These pockets are said to resemble a monkey's hindquarters,

which is why they are called "Monkey Pants."

The production period for the M44 was

actually very short, just "1 year and 3 months,"

from July 1944 to around October 1945.

Also, because they were issued to the "elite few" of the

U.S. Marine Corps,

the overall production volume was small, so they command

quite high prices in the vintage market.

The periods when the U.S. Marine Corps

actually wore them were...

・Battle of Iwo Jima (Feb 19 - Mar 26, 1945)

・Around the Battle of Okinawa (Mar 26 - Sep 7, 1945).

Also, after World War II,

・Korean War (Jun 25, 1950 - Jul 27, 1953)

they seem to have been worn extensively.

Jelado's Monkey Pants use herringbone as the material.

Furthermore, they are dyed with vat dyes.

And the buttons are donut buttons,

which also creates a vintage feel.

By wearing them thoroughly, you can enjoy

their aging process.

They go very well with native-patterned half-length coats,

leather jackets... and even

coveralls, and are extremely versatile.

I also recommend pairing them with a chambray shirt.
